It certainly doesn't help that we're throwing black men in jail left and right for petty drug and other nonviolent crimes.
There is a shared responsibility here, but no actual sharing.
I would encourage any of you who think I'm full of **** to just spend a week observing a typical Milwaukee Public Schools classroom and seeing the interaction between students from different backgrounds, and especially the parent(s). Or hell, just talk to the kids themselves. Especially the younger ones who don't yet have a jaded filter.
