I raised this to multiple trump voters and they all told me they were sure it was just a mistake and would be cleared up.

Why would they suspend it now? I believe those n bombs have been on there for a long time.

It was on Facebook. People probably flagged her account for abuse.

The overwhelming consensus of my friends who voted Trump is that they think this has been a great week.

It will probably take a full on economic collapse to convince these folks, just like it did with W.

And even then they won't learn. It's so demoralizing fighting people who are determined to sabotage their own lives.

You've got some lousy friends.

the reason hardcore supporters like chachi here seem so hopeless is because they still believe this is some sort of game between left and right, between winning and losing.

they won't accept that people are protesting an extreme totalitarian right-wing ideology, not a lost election.

Yep, because that's what everything is about to them. It has virtually nothing to do with policy. It's all about "liberal tears". So they can't fathom that liberals actually care about policy.

What conservatives care about:
screw liberals > screw brown people >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anything policy related

yes but then at what point does the fate of the country and everything it stands for begin to take precendent over "you lost, libtards!!! MAGA!!!11!"?

When they are capable of coming to the realization that whatever X thing is going on is directly and personally affecting their own lives and not just the lives of others.
01-30-2017 , 01:13 AM
Even then though who knows where they place blame! I guess you can argue that they already recognize certain things are affecting them but are coming to the wrong conclusions as to what the answer should be.
01-30-2017 , 01:47 AM
Yeah I have some doubts about many of them ever coming to that conclusion, because they now have their own brand of nonsensical media and spin to distract them and deflect blame elsewhere, pretty much indefinitely. The formula works for them.

Could Administration actions be any easier to read then they are right now? Anybody still clueless at this point is probably stuck in the web for good. They could watch their kids get drafted off to some senseless war 18 months from now and they'll still be there.

Actual exchange about the wall. Why did I even bother?

Me: Do you think the number of jobs created would counteract the tremendous cost? Domestic terrorism isn't a real threat to American lives by any reasonable metric.

Him: "So, if we are going to solve problems only if they are statistically significant problems, then we shouldn't take in a single Syrian."

The Obama caused Syrian Civil War has made 10 million people homeless. Obama's programs would bring in 1 tenth of 1 percent.

Could you cut the grass on 1 tenth of a yard on a football field and say, job done?

You might not be an idiot, but you have an idiots argument."

This is why I have hope Trump won't last. People losing their earnings will shake **** up; I don't care who is in office. The Dow going from 20K back down to sub 8K when W was in office would be an eye opener.

Cognitive dissonance theory predicts that most people will never admit to making a mistake a big as electing a total moron president.

Bump for the post-budget signing fallout. Is the foundation cracking?

I like the tweet from someone saying they just found out Trump's a RASIST.

As far as I know Hillary still did the emails, guys.

these comments do not lead me to believe that they have learned their lesson.

Just because they no longer support Trump doesn't mean that they are no longer deplorables.
03-26-2018 , 02:13 PM
All the trumpers I know irl are still fully aboard the trump train, but I’ll post in here once they start getting off. It’s always been about wanting respect for being right, just as much as anything else, so if it ever starts to look like he’s going to lose or get removed from office, I assume they’ll start flying off.
03-26-2018 , 02:23 PM
I've noticed that my mother has kept pretty quiet on the political front. She used to post Trump-supporting memes and fake news like crazy but has avoided that for nearly 2 months. I don't know if she gave it up for Lent or if she is off the Trump train. I do know that she continues to hold deplorable views even if she doesn't really support Trump in the end.

Very few people are going to swallow their pride and openly admit that voting for Trump was a bad decision. Too much shame involved. They're more likely to slowly slink away with their head hung low in order to avoid attention.
