The chances of this particular shooting occurring, as well as other like them, aren't likely reduced by much if assault rifles were banned. If guns as a whole or specific guns in general became more difficult to obtain, it wouldn't be tough to win a debate that gun deaths would drop.
As someone who owns and will continue to own and shoot guns, I will concede that there are more *******s out there than I previously thought doting their prized possessions when they shouldn't have the capability to do so.
