The SF workplace shooting reminded me of a shooting like thirty years ago at my parent's business. A disgruntled independent truck driver showed up and killed five people and wounded many more (one fellow had like seven bullets in him but survived). The guy then was killed by police.
It was devastating obviously but the thing people might miss are the ripple effects such incidents could have. This particular incident had long lasting effects that stemmed from the shootings that went beyond just dealing with death and lost of a loved one.
It's depressing these shootings are so common place now that it is barely news.
On another note outside of any specific political agenda there is obviously a significant level of uneasiness bubbling up that will increase the likelihood of incidents similar to both of these we saw. It sucks. But what are we to do when the guiding principle of the United States is now hate, hate and more hate.
