Stuff like this is dumb and counter productive enough that it should warrant a temp ban.

Sorry guys, I apologize. The murder pig probably had a pig partner who watched and then lied for him. Sorry I left the second pig out.

That being said, cop clearly was guilty, you could tell he was nervous telling the guy why he pulled him over. Stuttering his words and what not. Also, the other cop could have easily diffused the situation if he just went to the passenger side of the car.
Fwiw the cop was given the insurance/registration which was probably in the glove box. ID would come next from his pocket.

This mother****er had his partner with him on the flank.

I'm not even trying to defend other shootings, but there is a theme where many of them happen when the cop is solo, so at the very least this life-in-danger notion has significantly more weight.

But, in those situations and this, there's always the option to step away and radio for backup if you truly feel the situation is going sideways.

Not saying he wasn't murdered for being black (99.99% chance a white dude doesn't get shot doing everything he's supposed to do after being pulled over for a broken tail light).

But a lot could have to do with ****ty police training. If the cop truly was in fear for his life, all he had to do was shout; "Let me see your hands! Put your hands on the wheel! Show me your hands!", and then had the guy step out of the car, or reached in and take the gun himself. Did he even ask where the gun was? Did he even say anything remotely close to this before opening fire 7 times?

Btw- Cops who are this easily scared should find another profession. Yeah, it's a tough job, but if you're this much of a coward, you shouldn't be a cop. It's like if you're scared of smoke and flames you probably shouldn't become a firefighter. No matter how you slice it up he should've at least been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. A total acquittal is just salt in an already festering wound that doesn't seem to be healing anytime soon.

100% agree. I think part of the application process should be the implicit association test and cops should have to do 10% "better" with regard to neutral treatment than the general population.

Re: Here we go again... (unarmed black teen shot by cop): Shootings in LA and MN

Minnesota not having a good run. Today the cops managed to shoot and kill a 40 year old Australian woman in Minneapolis.

Quote:
According to the Star Tribune, three sources said Ms Damond was in her pyjamas when a police car responding to a 911 call pulled into the alley behind her family home in the city’s Fulton neighbourhood.

Ms Damond, 40, approached the driver’s side door in her pyjamas and spoke to the driver.

The officer in the passenger seat then shot Damond through the driver’s side door, according to the publication.

No weapon was recovered at the scene.
Bonus style points: She was the one who had placed the 911 call, reporting some kind of altercation going on in a nearby alley.

I post this partly for the Minnesota connection and partly to note that even if black people did not exist, these police shootings would continue to be a problem. Police are more likely to initiate interactions with black people and more likely to be on edge while doing so, but it just aggravates an existing problem, which is that police training and discipline appears to be terrible. I mean this woman was about the least threatening looking person possible, she looks like a soccer mom and was a former vet now working as a meditation teacher, and showed up in her pajamas. I can't fathom how she ended up on the wrong end of a bullet. I'd love to say we'll find out, but all the body cams and squad car cams were somehow very unluckily switched off. Does this even go to trial? I mean you'd think not, but we do have a dead attractive blonde woman, that tends to raise the DEFCON level another notch.

Clearly a lot of these cops are just perpetually terrified, which isn't surprising since most of them are conservatives.

So the officer in the passenger side shot a bullet passed his partners face in order to kill this woman? Seems safe.

LOL, ofc the bodycam was "accidentally" turned off. Funny how often that happens when cops shoot someone.

Were there other witnesses besides the two police officers?

Actually I imagine this was part of the mistake.

- Cops called to potentially dangerous situation, it's midnight, dark, they're on edge

- Woman sees cops come and feels its okay to come outside in dark and talk to them

- Edgy cop pulls trigger when woman surprises him

Actually the Philando case I remember the audio prior to cop approaching car where he though Philando matched description of burglary suspect. So he was edgy/nervous when approaching and then panicked when Philando said he had a gun on him.

I feel cops are a reflection of society, our society is very paranoid and so are our cops. (however some of these cop shootings are okay IMO, like the alton sterling one)

I read that the officers were pulled into the alley when she walked up to the car. So it's likely the officer had no idea what or who he was shooting at.

Sorry, but this is bull****. There is no situation where the passenger seat officer fires out the driver side window. His gun should've been holstered.
