"Yeah thanks for the opportunity to compete for a lot of new customers who have big federal subsidy checks and we are wary of a new unchartered competitive enviroment and have been putting in massive efforts to control costs but we think this law does nothing to control costs."

Read the intrade comments on the mandate last few days. Basically the smart posters are calling out the echo chamber for running up the price.

This post is like every argument I've ever made for Obamacare in the least amount of words possible. Well played.

Well, ok, next time add something about how socialized medicine already works for every other wealthy nation, old ppl, etc.

But still very well done.

obama care suffers from the republican primary telling everyone how evil it is. tons of ads like 250 million spent against it. people love a winner and so right now when the iron is hot obama is going to have to really explain what a great thing for the country insuring all those millions of people will be since we are one nation under God.

Obama's spin machine is going to have advantage on everything but possibility the economy. Republican talking points are tired and xenophobic.

Of course not. Actually paying for things people do like is never very popular, because Americans are children.

I know but a large portion of american's have no idea what is in the healthcare bill and when they figure out they are getting free **** they will be happy. On top of that the republicans will have a candidate that instituted close to the same thing in his own state so he will not have a leg to stand on. He is going to sound ridiculous trying to win that debate with the word 'obamacare' on its own.

Maybe its the right thing to do. It sucks that so many people go without healthcare. But reducing cost?
Also, just straight-up mandated lower profit margins for insurance companies. They, like, actually have to pay benefits or give their customers a refund.
