As far as I can tell, the following accurately represents the Republican position on key issues:

1. Debt: Lower taxes for rich people, start taxing the people who don't pay income tax, increase defense spending. Cut food stamps and planned parenthood. Eliminate free cell phones for black people.

2. Health Care: sell insurance across state lines and tort reform. Status quo.

3. Foreign Policy: blow the **** up. Everything. Freedom isn't free.

4. Civil Liberties: no rights for gays, that's for sure. Endless detention of anyone the government thinks is a bad guy. Torture a-ok. Immunity for 'merikans who do awful things to foreigners, war is hell. Gang rape and mass murder included. Do you hate America?

5. Internet Poker, just for good measure: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

6. Separation of Church and State: that was a dumbass provision in the constitution that we're going to pretend doesn't exist.

7. Regulation of Wall Street: when institutions fail, endless free money. When they prosper, look how awesome capitalism is and dear lord can you believe how overtaxed the jerb creators are.

What am I missing?

It would be funny except the fact that it's true.

And the fact that nearly half of America seemingly supports the agenda.

Don't forget that they want to make it harder and harder to vote, roll back the Voting Rights Act, and recently I have seen them pushing basically a re-institution of Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

http://www.salon.com/2012/05/17/dont...2_0/singleton/

They're also trying to push anti-choice legislation on the District of Columbia, without DC's one representative, Eleanor Holmes-Norton, even being able to speak in defense of her own constituents.

It looks like they're trying hard to make sure the Dems sweep the house, Senate, and Presidency. If people actually pay attention, that is.

all that is only because you won't sit down, shut up, and become a real Merican. You have the freedom to do exactly as I say. That's the Reagan way.

It's not that half supports it. It's that about 10% think some parts are a great idea, 15% think it's less bad than the "other guy". 50% don't vote at all, and about the same percentages could be said about the idiotic policies on the other side. Classic douche vs. turd sandwich.

Nit, and I'm too lazy to cite, but I think public opinion surveys are pretty consistent that about ~30% of the electorate (50-60% of America, given the election) are basically hardcore right ideologues, so it's probably closer to 15-20% of America who thinks it's a great.

Partisan hackery at it's finest. I don't think you need to convince anyone on this forum that the Republican party is FOS, but you best learn that the Democrats are also FOS.

Yea, I'm not even going to attempt to get into the content of the OP, I think this sizes it up quite nicely.

I think this is a typical lefty mod test.

Will typical lefty mods lock it or let it go because it's bashing those evil repubs?
