Re: The GOP war on voting
Clearly that guy would have been stopped by having to show IDs for all those stuffed ballots.

It's pretty ****ing sickening imo, and transparently so.

lol speaking of Fl, it appears they've found 180k "ineligible" voters on the voter rolls

Four hundred and eighty-eight voters, every one of them in the Tennessee district of US Rep Steve Cohen (D-09), all but four lifelong Democrats, and nearly all Black, had their voting history erased by Shelby County election workers, setting them up for purge from the voter list.

Re: The GOP war on voting
Aren't there any federal laws that make doing stuff like this a crime?

Re: The GOP war on voting
I have to re-register for my drivers license every so often, so surely, if Tennessee makes an innocent mistake of purging hundreds of black voters from the rolls, they can just show up and re-register. No harm, no foul.

The letter was circulated to the entire Florida Congressional delegation and Deutch expects several of his colleagues to sign on. Deutch noted that while Florida has “no history of mass voter fraud” it does have a history of “mass voter disenfranchisement” that proceeded the presidential election in 2000.

African-Americans made up 88 percent of the voters removed from the rolls in the purge that preceeded the 2000 election, even though they account for only about 11 percent of Florida voters. In Florida, 93 percent of black voters cast a ballot for Al Gore.

Today, another voter, Maureen Russo, said she received a letter identifying her as ineligible to vote. She is a citizen who has been voting in the State of Florida for the past 40 years. Russo was informed that she could opt for “an administrative hearing to present evidence” disputing the determination of the State that she was ineligible to vote. Unless Maureen returned a form requesting such a hearing within 30 days, she was told, it would result in “the removal of your name from the voter registration rolls.”
We have since learned that the voter purge was directed not by the Secretary of State, but came at the direction of Florida Governor Rick Scott himself:

Re: The GOP war on voting
I generally think vote fraud is rampant through out the United States. Carefully look at the republican caucus in Iowa, 3 winners. Some of the recall elections in Wisconsin. The reality is after the polls close there are tons on people who did not vote and people can and do slip in 1000s of votes with zero risk of prosecution.
You go to Pechanga casino to get a burger you have to show id with your players card, to use Moneygram or Western Union to pick up money you have to show id. You go to bank, you need id, or even to drive a car.
Voter id should be mandatory with something so valuable as voting. I believe you should have a retinal scan, a thumbprint, and they should post whether you voted or not in the newspaper and internet.
What if you missed voting one day, but you found out you voted on the internet?
Several trillion $ are stolen each year via voter fraud.

Lol at the last line. I never expected that was a classic absurd setup expanded beyond its limits to find a so called "Will Ferrell double laugh" but then he tops it with a huge out of nowhere punchline. Amazing work.

Bill Internicola is a 91-year-old, Brooklyn-born, World War II veteran. He fought in the Battle of the Buldge and received the Bronze Star for bravery. He’s voted in Florida for 14 years and never had a problem.
Three weeks ago, Bill received a letter from Broward County Florida stating “[Y]ou are not a U.S. Citizen” and therefore, ineligible to vote. He was given the option of requesting “a hearing with the Supervisor of Elections, for the purpose of providing proof that you are a United States citizens” or forfeit his right to vote.

Great job FL!
