So on the NYT results page, I'm assuming that the Rpt. column is for precincts reporting, right? If so, ALL of the outstanding vote is in Fulton county. That's huge for us, right?

Not all of Fulton County is in the 6th, though. The deep, deep blue parts are not included. They further into Atlanta. It's northern Fulton that is in this district and that's the red, country club portion of the county.

Buying (D) in the lead up to these special elections and then selling on the overreaction to early vote tallies is just printing money.

Any reason Fulton hasn't released any results in like 3 hours?

True, but it's way better to have Fulton County outstanding than Cobb. Ossoff is carrying 55% of Fulton so far.

The red or lean red parts of fulton are who haven't sent results in tho it seems.

Ah, so they're probably just waiting to see what they need the totals to be before they send them in...

It's been 100/100/16 for literally an hour.

The part of Fulton that is in the 6th is the swingy part, Trump won is 48.9% to 46.4%, so that's generally not a good thing given the Ossoff-Clinton delta in the other two counties. He's not drawing dead but it's unlikely.

It's pretty hard to navigate Atlanta highways these days. Ballots just stuck in traffic.

Doesn't he figure to do at least a little better in the runoff? Like if he gets 49% now, to get 50% then? Aren't at least some of the, say Judson Hill fans, really tied to Judson Hill and will take their ball and go home?
04-18-2017 , 11:51 PM
Yeah I don't understand that either unless it is just increased turnout from people who think a runoff is a foregone conclusion. 10 replubs surely have to have more support in total than 1.
04-18-2017 , 11:53 PM
CNN now reporting they're going to count by hand in Fulton County. At least, Don Lemon just said that.

I think he does worse in a runoff because it's a red district and this will wake up Republicans who stayed home thinking there was no way they'd lose.

Ossoff is speaking, live on CNN and I'd assume all the networks.
