And remember that the deaths due to Fast and Furious weren't only forseeable, they were intended. The entire goal of the operation was for Mexican drug lords to get a bunch of guns and start killing people, then blame the whole mess on US gun dealers so he could get stiffer gun laws passed. Having people die was the goal of the operation.

Oh, and for those bitching and moaning about the failure that is Fast and Furious...go back and read up on Reagan's AG Ed Meese helping to sell weapons to ****ing Iran and shipping the profits to Nicarauguan right wing rebels, and then get back to us on how ZOMG horrible Fast and Furious actually is, in that light.

To be clear, Meese didn't sell the missles to Iran. He did, however, actively work to cover up anything that could directly connect it to Reagan.

He was also against Miranda warnings, and for National Guard armed occupations of college campuses.

So do bad AG's outnumber good AG's like 10-1 or what? It's much harder to name good ones.

It's impossible for a law enforcement apparatus that large to not have numerous scandals and controversies over the course of a 4-8 year period. So not only is the AG de facto responsible for them but he's a popular target for the opposition party as one of the President's most prolific appointments. There will never be a "good" AG again imo.
