This is what I was thinking of (specifically lolbruenig actually, based on twitter). Perhaps it doesn't really matter, since these people will never show any loyalty to a party organization that's not committed to nationalizing the means of production anyways.

Excellent article.

Quote:
It was the establishment wing that decided to recruit and then stand up a candidate in order to fight an internal battle against the left faction of the party. It was the establishment wing that then dumped massive piles of opposition research on one of their own party members. And it was the establishment wing that did all of this in the shadow of Trump, sewing disunity in order to contest a position whose leadership they insist does not really matter.
I also agree with the authors last paragraph.

I held my nose and voted Hilary b/c #neverTrump. I won't do so again.

The D's can nominate someone I believe in or I will vote for someone who will.

Disappointed Ellison didn't win. Probably next best outcome though.

Are we unified yet? Did we elect Lincoln Chafee?

Vox legitimately sucks. Ezra Klein has a good knowledge base on wonky topics, but that's about it.

Why didn't Ellison win?

A good post op on the DNC race
