Democratic Race Going Forward (PA in 1 week on 4/22, IN and NC in 3 weeks on 5/6)
I think it's about time we moved on from the old threadzilla into a new one, which will in not too much time become a threadzill of its own. Anyway, let's have a new thread for our forum's Obama hate-mongering, fear-mongering, hope-mongering, optimism, pessimism, bashing, thrashing, building, praising, idolizing, demonizing, polling, pole-ing, posting, poasting, baiting, debating, and obligatory partisan talking points.

Also, he called us all typical white folks.

this is retarded. If it was reported that Obama or Hillary- especially Obama- cut a stinky fart on the campaign trail Rush would seize upon it as evidence of Operation Chaos. I listen to Rush everyday and the guy has completely gone off his rocker.

Perhaps the other thread should now be locked?
Or even better, perhaps that thread could be the repository of all the simplistic, inane posts and this one can remain nice and clean?

Not PA, NC, or IN, but a couple of contests further down the line:
http://www.surveyusa.com/client/Poll...e-3f865c3d7ac5
Clinton wafflecrushing in KY polls. From SUSA:
62% Clinton
26% Obama
9% Other
4% Undecided
Expect lots of talk about how important Kentucky is from the Clinton camp. If Obama can't beat Clinton in select big states...and Kentucky, how can he beat John McCain imo.

South Dakota:
Obama 46%
Clinton 34%
Undecided 10%

South Dakota is unimportant, obv. North Dakota too. If they took North Dakota and South Dakota and just made "Dakota", then it might be worth going after.

Re: Democratic Race Going Forward (PA in 1 week on 4/22, IN and NC in 3 weeks on 5/6)
Anyone care to predict what will occur in tonight's debate?
I expect it to be anticlimactic. Obama will be asked about "bittergate" (I love calling it that) and will provide a relatively satisfactory, predictable answer. Clinton will comment on it also, but just once. The topic will be disposed of quickly simply because there's not that much to say about it (once Obama defuses things by saying he used the wrong words to convey his meaning).
In fact, I expect the debate will have very few soundbite moments and hardly any "fireworks."
I say all of this without knowing the format of the debate, which could change everything.

I think it would be nice if, in the middle of the debate, colored lights started flashing and fireworks started going off, and AC/DC started blaring, and Dennis Kucinich or Mike Gravel started running in down a ramp from offstage and rolled onto the stage, grabbed the mic, and started berating the two nominees, the hosts, and the democratic party in general.

Obama to pick up 3 superdelegates today. Andre Carson, Congressman of Indiana has been announced, the other two will be announced later today.

I think we should probably put the debate in its own thread. The debate threads are usually 2-300 posts, and people may not want to wade through all that if they just want to keep abreast of the big picture of the campaign.

I predict he calls her out for the elitism stuff and mentions her 109 mil. and how she is funded by lobbyists. I also could go for some fireworks and flashing lights and AC/DC.

Re: Democratic Race Going Forward (PA in 1 week on 4/22, IN and NC in 3 weeks on 5/6)
I almost forgot my daily dose of doom.
From Open Left today
The meta-dynamics of this year's election are so strongly in our favor - the endless war, the melting economy, the passion on our side and the lack thereof on theirs - that I had until recently been continuing to guess we would win this election. If the Republicans had nominated anyone other than McCain, or if the Democratic race had ended on March 4, I think this would have been pretty easy. But I now think that there is a really significant chance, perhaps even better than 50-50, that McCain will win this election, even as we are picking up seats in the House and Senate.
