comey: it still depends

also nunes looks really shook standing up for this recess
These questions are all designed to obscure the truth or cast things into doubt (or even take aim at the FBI for daring to investigate God-Emperor for treason) rather than reveal the truth. That is a huge theme with the GOP + Trump for sure.

Nobody takes breaks around Trump easier. He is always available for a quick bathroom respite.

Trump shooting out lies, putting questions+answers out of context to deceive the general public already:

the GOP is trying to get Comey/Rogers to say how they'd act in a particular scenario so that later when heads roll the GOP can claim the IC didn't adhere to the testimony so their(IC) findings are biased and wrong

Swalwell was good.
Also trincher's trump towers game got a mention
03-20-2017 , 02:02 PM
Rep Swalwell said Trump has had six bankruptcies. I thought it was only (only) four. At any rate, there's a reason no American bank will lend to him, and not everyone's too sure why Deutsche Bank still lends to him despite him suing them.

Spicer briefing everyone that nothing to see here.

It's almost like they had these questions + tweets lined up and ready to go ahead of time. I wonder if Trump was coordinating with members of the committee on this.
03-20-2017 , 02:08 PM
swalwell is the ****ing man
03-20-2017 , 02:10 PM
It is such a dumb point only trump and his followers can even find substantive.

Did anyone think the leaders of the FBI and NSA did not have the capability to see actual names of people being surveiled? Anyone in the 75% I mean.

The testimony was to the opposite effect: the White House does not originate intelligence and cannot 'unmask'.
03-20-2017 , 02:15 PM
This guy sounds like a Defense Attorney. "You can't know the motives in his heart."

Yeah I wasn't even reading the tweet for the extreme absurdity it reached
03-20-2017 , 02:18 PM
Anyway, thanks to Adm Rogers for squashing the GCHQ thing -- again.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...mp-wiretap-spy

And to Director Comey and Adm Rogers for making clear that Russia did seek to interfere with the election -- 'They wanted to hurt her and help him,' as Comey put it. (Not the same as thinking Trump could win, as Comey has just clarified. They wanted a weakened, damaged President Clinton as the best likely outcome. This fits with the finding by a Russian analyst at the Royal United Services Institute in London who talked about it on Newsnight.)

The questions about leaks, and the suggestions that the security services shouldn't investigate the ruling elite, are tiresome.
03-20-2017 , 02:20 PM
this line of thought from stewart is so ****ing stupid

"well we were wrong about thinking that hillary was going to win, why can't we be wrong about russia's motivations for hacking the DNC?"

I MEAN WTF

APART FROM THE DELIBERATE OBTUSENESS, YOU'RE ON AN INVESTIGATIVE COMMITTEE AND YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO UNDERMINE YOUR OWN INVESTIGATIVE SOURCES!

these house republicans are enemies of the state
03-20-2017 , 02:21 PM
Well that question backfired. Rogers and Comey basically said "yes, it is extremely hard to divine motive, and we still find there to be evidence of motive here"
03-20-2017 , 02:23 PM
Lol. Himes dropping the fire on the tweet. Go get em man
03-20-2017 , 02:24 PM
Calling him on the tweet lies in a live hearing. I love it!
03-20-2017 , 02:24 PM
OH **** JIM HIMES CALLING OUT TRUMP'S LATEST TWEET RIGHT NOW IN COMMITTEE
