republicans keep saying this is a "bipartisan" committee, but not a single one has asked a question of any substance whatsoever, their whole intention has been to try and go after "leakers", obfuscate the IC's findings wrt russian involvement in the election, and downplay any links to trump and his people

Not one of them has said that it would indeed be bad if these allegations regarding the president and his administration are true. How can they not even go on the record with that lol.

Republicans are basically making the long argument that there's no evidence to open an investigation on somebody until there's PROOF that they committed a crime. But that's the whole point of an investigation. Plus they're intentionally failing to mention the multiple lies about meeting with the Russians.

these lines of questioning from king and wenstrup are a perfect example of the most basic flaw with the modern GOP- they propose or beg for black and white solutions and answers to questions that involve a complex web of circumstances

R-congressman: "if ____, would you ____?"

comey: it depends

R-congressman: (rephrases or repeats question)

comey: it still depends

also nunes looks really shook standing up for this recess
