"I hope you can get your work done before 5pm."

Totally not a direction from your boss. Good to know.

That was a pretty sick burn on Trump when he's talking about how you can tell if someone is telling the truth.

"Look at their track record of honesty" haha

Wait did Comey just UNMASK himself as a leaker?
06-08-2017 , 11:34 AM

In a real criminal case this would matter. So its going to be "yeah, technically he obstructed justice, but we're not going to impeach."

I would like someone to bring up Comey's earlier comment that Mueller is certainly looking into obstruction of justice for Trump. That's the most important thing to come out so far, and needs to be reinforced.

Lol, like the FBI director wouldn't take a call from the President.

Republicans getting desperate. They're not even trying to make it look impartial any more.

He gave the green light for a friend to share the content of an unclassified memo

I'm a little disappointed that he didn't have a cite lined up for this question. It was very foreseeable, and I'm sure there's something out there.

Its not so much the topics being asked about but the ham handed way in which they are being asked.

That said, the most unpredictable question so far was about his role in leaking the content of his memo to the press. And his answer included the statement indicating that part of his motivation was to increase the chance of a special prosecutor being appointed.

That begs for follow up by the next Democratic Senator, and they whiffed.

All the Republicans seem intent on hammering the fact that "Trump wasn't under investigation." Is that the talking point they all got from Trump personally? Because the point isn't whether or not he was under investigation, but whether he obstructed justice and attempted to halt any Russia-related investigations. Does Trump think that as long as he wasn't under investigation then it's all good?

Only congress can impeach him so it is pretty irrelevant whether or not he is being investigated for OOJ. The only way this moves forward is the republicans getting on board the impeach Trump train. Based on the questioning in this hearing the odds of that look extremely long.

the tone and intention of their questioning today is really no different than any other previously televised hearing on the subject

Short answer is yes.

Long answer is yes, and Republican (voters) are morons.

Sure, but if Mueller finds that Trump obstructed justice, that will go a long way in moving the GOP in the direction of impeachment.

Blunt is a buffoon - give him more time to shoot himself in the foot.

The Republican argument is that Comey should have explained basic propriety to Trump and should have hung up on his boss, the goddamn president.

Now that right there was SLICK. King and Comey just made sure it's 100% clear that the Russians wanted to help TRUMP, not Republicans in general.
