When Romney used the term that is what he meant. He even described his definition when he used it. "Everything corporations earn ultimately goes to people. Where do you think it goes? Who's pockets, who's pockets? Peoples pockets!" He clarified it later it future speeches.
I read on this board legally corporations were always considered people thus if they get sued more than their assets the shareholders will never be liable.
BTW, most most of the corporations revenues go to employees and government taxes. Only like 3% go to corporate profits. BTW, Romney is the only candidate that supports giving the middle class a $250,000 tax break on the inflation they create.
Gingrich wants to make the amount unlimited. To me this is rather arrogant considering Warren Buffet and I even think John Paulson realize the rich do have an unfair advantage. Once a rich person reaches critical mass, they really are set. Romney sees this, and says why cut out all the capital gains when the super rich will still do fine with a 15% CG tax rate.
Bernie Sanders wants to amend the constitution to say "Corporations are not People". Based on the "citizens united" case he comes to the conclusion we need something so dire as an amendment. I love the idea of citizens united case, that anyone can contribute unlimited amounts to a superpac. I do agree unions, trade groups, and corporations do not have the right to spend $1 on political contributions or superpacs. However, individuals should be able to spend unlimited amounts on candidates and superpacs. Sanders, did not say one time "Unions are not people" which was also included in the Citizen United case. Doing so shows he is just a fraud, meant to hurt Romney and help Obama.

Here are the top donations to Obama in 2008, note the University of California the top donor that also got tons of kickbacks from Obama in the last 4 years, probably $2 trillion worth.
But to single out Romney for saying "Corporations are People" when all he is trying to do is help the middle class is just evil by Sanders, Colbert and the bastards like them.
2012 election cycle.
