Language is everything. I saw an old newsreel from the 60s the other day - talking about Apartheid riots. The language was striking. "Police fired on the crowd. Some 100 people were killed."

Not police murdered, or even shot 100 people. Nope, police fired on the crowd, possibly in self-defense who knows? Then 100 people died. Could be related. We may never know the full story. Sad.

Have any Republican officials criticized the white nationalists (and their actions) specifically today, or are they all couching their words in vague false equivalencies? I haven't seen anything but the latter so far. On the other side, both Clintons and Sanders have made specific condemnations.

It is frustrating seeing that for things to really change we have to reach absolute rock bottom.

Jeb Bush just straight up condemened all the racists and nationalists but trump is too much of a wuss.

All I know is when things go fully to hell in a hand basket there are some real chicken s pos on the other side. Like I'm not even a little bit unsure of the ultimate outcome of a second civil war would be.

But it seems like too many Americans are too dumb, stubborn or afraid so we have to take the worst possible route to change.

I know the idea of trump being the worst president ever has been debated here before but not only has it never been questionable it was glaringly obvious he would be the worst president ever before he was elected.
