The Koran never said that there were age restrictions on the 72 virgins.

Gary Walker from Leeds and his wife were just metres from the explosion, waiting for their daughters to come out.

He told BBC 5 live: "We heard the last song go and then suddenly there was a massive flash and then a bang and smoke. I felt a pain in my foot and my leg.

"I turned around to my wife who was standing at the side of me and she said, 'I need to lay down.' She’s got a stomach wound and possible a broken leg.

"I’ve got a bit of a hole in my foot where I’ve got a bit of shrapnel. I was surprised I got away so lightly."

He said he saw metal nuts that could have come from the device, and that people were using tables as stretchers.

Is there any way you could see your way clear to just not?

The problem with gallows humor is that if you aren't actually funny you come off as a huge *******.

This story is horrifying. jfc

It keeps getting worse. At first reports were saying it was balloons popping (the explosion happened right after balloons were dropped). Some were saying it was pyro backfire.

I'd rather some innocent clothes get exploded vs. an actual nail bomb going off.

I've seen multiple pictures of people with their pants blown apart - like the Boston Marathon bomb.

Elena Semino, from Lancaster, was with her husband waiting for her daughter by the arena’s ticket office when the explosion went off. She has a wound on her neck and her leg is bleeding. She hasn’t been seen by a doctor yet as her priority was finding her daughter – which she now has.

“My husband and I were standing against the wall, luckily, and all of a sudden there was this thing. I can’t even describe it. There was this heat on my neck and when I looked up there were bodies everywhere.”

Her husband stayed behind to help an injured woman and has a minor injury. She ran to find her daughter in the auditorium.

Semino’s 17-year-old daughter Natalie and her friends said the performance had just come to an end when the explosion went off. “It went off and then there was a moment’s silence and then there were screams,” says Megan Ryder, 19. They say security guards initially tried to calm them down, saying it was a popped balloon or a technical difficulty.
So that's where the popped balloon thing came from.

Yeah. This is no ordinary bombing.

In all honesty, I don't think I'd want to see video of the bombing if it does exist.

Why are you being sincere at a time like this? More jokes!

I'm already cringing at Trump speech about this and it hasn't happened yet.

Yikes.

Based on the time of that tweet, there was quite a lot known about the attack already. At least I think so. I suck at time zones.

I think there are some occasions when people tweet stupid stuff and it gets overblown with people calling for them to be fired and the like. This is not one of those occasions. David Leavitt deserves all thats coming to him.

Don't think he'll work for them long. Not that the faux-rage tweeters should have the power to get him fired but it's very predictable how it's going to play out so he's a dumbass.

Radical islamic terrorism!

6:56 PM in Boston was something like 25 minutes before Gizmo started this thread.

Private citizens and comedians can get away with comments like the one Leavitt made.

But yeah you'd think public figures who have been using social media for years would know better.

Seriously though, was there any reason for four pages of thinking up possible scenarios that didn't involve terrorism? Are you guys competing at who can look the most liberal by showing you aren't assuming it was terrorism?
