i put xs in both boxes in order to double my chances of victory

betfair thinks its basically all over and that we have voted to stay in

Yeah, looking like it. Now we have years ahead of UKIP harrying the tories to get a better deal with the EU over migration (and probably getting even more of the vote this time in some places) and the EU saying '**** you, you're not getting any more.' instead of any actual progress made with anything. Oh, joy.

Please tell me at least Osborne will ****ing go...

Assuming a half comfortable win we can finally put to bet the Independence thing and get on with being part of Europe.

The opt outs are a mess but many of them will gradually expire. Plenty to look forwards: PU, FU, strengthen EU democratic institutions, joint army and finally the Euro.

Anyone think this German terror attack is going to motivate the leave vote and people that are unsure. Its really not being reported much atm.

BBC reported this morning at least 20 ppl were shot. Story has been pushed way down on the app and edited so that it doesn't say how many injured or if anyone died.

According to FAZ the attacker didn't even use live ammo. No reason to suspect it was a terror attack at this point, more likely some weird case of suicide by cop. No one else was injured. (Initial reports were 20-50 injured, but that was due to use of tear gas and apparently nothing serious.)

Cannot read German but I swear on my life BBC reported this morning as 20 injured

As mentioned in my edit above, they initially reported 20-50 injured but later clarified that these injuries were all just due to usage of tear gas and apparently just temporary/minor. FAZ is now reporting that no one else got injured.

Looks like polls around supposed Brexit strongholds in England were either closed early or moved due to the weather.

Good news

If you use a pen your vote is voided.

So we won't actually know who won for another 9 hours?

It was around London and based on some maps I saw they were Brexit areas.

Might be called before all votes are counted

I love love love the idea there is a widespread conspiracy to steal the referendum and it can be stopped with a pen.

As if there are a few guys going round with rubbers erasing ballots to alter them before being counted by someone else.

My understanding is the polls just closed and they will announce the results at 7 am which is 9 hours from now? I may or may not be confused
06-23-2016 , 05:11 PM
Fwiw, Betfair odds to remain dropped to 1.06-1.07 right after polls closed.
06-23-2016 , 05:11 PM
It depends on the results. If it's close it will go on till 7am-ish.

Gove thinks that “people in this country have had enough of experts”. I've had enough of politicians ignoring the opinions of experts whether they be drugs advisers, education experts or anyone else that knows what (s)he is talking about.
