Which gate is the biggest?

Trumpgate (Russia?/Obstruction?)
Watergate
Othergate

And why?

Votergate and how 60+ mega voters in the US can be made to believe that cheeto was a good idea

Trumpgate AINEC

Trump for sure. We don't even know the full scope of what has happened yet.

I voted Watergate sarcastically because it's not even a real question

I want to hear from people who think Watergate is bigger, along with explanations. Because IMO, if Trump had the 7+ years in office that Nixon had, he would easily have the bigger scandal WITHOUT RUSSIA at all.

Iran-Contra was another big scandal. I do not believe we know the full scope of Trumpgate yet so I did not vote, maybe later. There was more to Watergate than the break-in and a tape erasure. It's certainly possible Nixon knew nothing about the illegal espionage operation before it happened, but afterwards he took steps to cover it up, he raised “hush money” for the burglars, he tried to stop the FBI from investigating the crime, he destroyed evidence, and he tried to have special prosecutor Archibald Cox and others fired when they wouldn't cooperate. President Ford pardoned Nixon for any crimes he had committed while in office.

Of course lol. That's the point of having the poll now, while an unknown amount is still unknown. Don't wait until you have the answers before voting.

Trumpgate is bigger because Repubs are (so far) putting party over country.
06-10-2017 , 11:10 PM
At this point, even while we are still a bit unsure of the entire scope of "Trumpgate," it is already a bigger scandal. There is a huge difference between an American meddling with American elections and a foreign adversary conspiring with Americans to do the same. We have seen the president fire three people who were responsible for investigating the matter, the AG lie under oath about meetings he had with Russia, and several instances of money changing hands (Rosneft, Trump's $40 million mansion selling for more than double to a Russian, several other smaller transactions) that are all part of this plot. If they are found guilty, and at this point based on what we know I think it is a forgone conclusion that they will be through Mueller's investigation, those involved are guilty of no less than espionage against the US and should be imprisoned for life.

For anyone who has a knowledge of this, how was the public reaction to this? and how did it effect Ford and his approval?

You want ties with Russia you look at the Clintons.

Nixon was looking for evidence that he thought the Dems had about him committing treason by interfering with the Paris peace talks. Millions of people died because of this. Trump is a disgusting ignoramus but there's no evidence that his crimes come close to those of Nixon.

Holy **** did you see that picture of a Facebook post from some random unnamed account? HUGE IF TRUE

Wait, what? What's this bit?

Remember when [Clinton] lied about that and said [she] wasn't a part of approving the deal that gave the Russians 1/5 of our uranium, but then [her] emails were leaked showing [she] did lie about it?
I'm not fully immersed in the derposphere so perhaps I'm wrong here, but I've followed this story pretty closely and I'm pretty sure this flat out did not happen. I can't find any evidence that this happened googling either.

I'd ask dagger, but there's no way he has any interest at all in whether anything in that paste is really true or not.

What did happen is that then-Assistant Secretary of State, Jose Fernandez, stated that "Secretary Clinton never intervened with me on any CFIUS matter". Uranium One was such a matter. But then, when the Podesta emails were released, there was one where Fernandez expressed to Podesta his support for the Clinton campaign. In derpoworld, this naturally instantly means he is lying anytime he ever mentions the Clintons. I think this might be the basis for the assertion in that post?

The Carter Playboy interview was the worst scandal ever.

I remember my mom telling me that she voted for Nixon and refused to vote for Ford. Her logic was "I didn't vote for Ford to be POTUS, I voted for Nixon."

I don't know if that was the general consensus at the time, but if it was, it would explain why the GOP is terrified of getting rid of Trump. The Trumpkins don't seem to be the type to get behind a guy like Mike Pence.

Okay fine. If you're going to "lol" at me then I vote for Watergate.
