When you poll on the specifics of what single payer actually is, its very unpopular even though single payer itself has something like a ~40% approval. Obamacare is largely in the form that it is because it was politically required that most peoples existing plan was not altered.

Bernie taking over snapchat with one of those official stories today. Layup form on the basketball court rather solid.

He's clearly trying to play hoops like Obama always does to get some of his voters. Silly Bernie, Hillary already played this card and has been for months!

Bernie does do grade A political shorts

What a disappointment, but not surprising....

Obama says he has Debbie Wasserman Schultz's back

Speaking at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Miami on Friday, President Barack Obama expressed his support for his party's embattled chairwoman — Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

"She's had my back, I want to make sure we have her back,” he said.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

"I owe her. I have to say this."

If you gave everyone a $5000 voucher instead of public schools, $1000 a year into a health savings account, and end private ownership of land (cuts rents by 2/3, pumping that money into an account), you could give everyone $500,000 on their 18th birthday. You would get better housing, better medical care, and better education also.

Sanders is more of the same on steroids. He will make the working class poorer to enrich teachers, doctors, politicians, and landlords moreso. That is the final solution of his proposals. The joke hopefully ends the 7th.

Bernie had 60,000 people in Oakland. (by some estimates)

Today's (Saturday) rally/concert is at the LA Coliseum. He's probably going to get some enormous crowds these last couple of days in CA.

Did...did you just use "final solution" to describe a Jew and his policies?

Just pointing out what a moron the guy is.

He will make the working class poorer to enrich teachers, doctors, politicians, and landlords moreso. If you like his policies move to NY or CA, whether or not you can afford it. Go near any large school in California you will see Bernie stickers like there is no tomorrow all looking to cash in.

Los Angeles is not like the backdrops you see on Fox or CNN, it is an overcrowded trash heap with traffic, accidents like every 3 miles, dirt, grime, grid lock, rust, sickness, commercial, greed, and corruption. Everything is owned or controlled by the rich or land owners and government employees. Everyone else the slave. You don't need to watch Boardwalk Empire, you live it.

"Violence is absolutely and totally unacceptable," said Sanders, after a press conference on the jobs market with former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich. "If people are thinking about violence, please do not tell anybody you are a Bernie Sanders supporter, because those are not the supporters that I want."

The scattered riots, which broke out late Thursday evening and were played back all day by news outlets, had nothing to do with the Sanders campaign. The crowd filmed giving chase to Trump supporters, and pelting one with eggs, included anarchists and unaffiliated activists.
Well at least WaPo is now actually being a little more fair to Bernie. Now what are the odds they'll retract the lies they spread about chairs getting thrown in Nevada?

"If people are thinking about violence, please do not tell anybody you are a Bernie Sanders supporter."

Lol, rivaling Trump for the weakest denunciation of violence.

Lol at cutting off the "because those are not the supporters that I want."

Pretty much zero other politicians would ever say such a thing as not wanting any supporter. That's the strongest possible denunciation for a politician.
06-04-2016 , 03:46 PM
Oh, I see, Bernie just another politician, doesn't care if his supporters use violence to achieve their aims as long as they keep his name out of it. (He doesn't *want* violent supporters, but what are you going to do, democracy is a messy business, and why wouldn't he take their support?)

Is that what I'm supposed to take away? Come on, micro, I know you're a fan, but you (and Sanders) can do better.

What?

Try starting over from the beginning there.

Sholar going for a steelhouse-level of trainwrecking, I see.

The media and anti-Bernie folks whine about Bernie not denouncing, and then he DOES denounce even when it was NOT his supporters doing that stuff, and it's still not good enough. Christ, what MORE do you people want?

How about yelling at Hillary for not denouncing or not doing it good enough, or maybe yell at Trump for being by far the worst offender in all this? Yeesh...

Eh, I don't care that much. Pretty lazy phrasing by Sanders, at best, and I think the assertion "That's the strongest possible denunciation for a politician." is false.

A clever reader might have noticed that I mentioned Trump in that post...

And a clever writer would not have wasted time in his day going after easily the nicest, least violent candidate left in the field.

derp level: maximum

I feel like anyone who is still convinced Hillary will have an easier time beating Trump or will get more through Congress than Bernie is a maximum derp

Pretty sensitive if that counts as going after. There's actually no opportunity cost...you get that Clinton, Trump have their own threads here, right?
