I'm going to pretend I'm a moderator and consider these bannable offenses:

- Discussion around whether or not Obama is a natural born US citizen
- Discussion around whether or not non-supporters are inherently racists

If someone were to say something like "a vote for Obama is vote for murdering Muslim children." Would that be ok?

3000+ innocent murdered in Pakistan alone... but will that be enough to secure re-election?

I made my decision to vote against Obama solely on political views. However, seeing him win was even more painful because he was African-American. Not because I have something against his race (or any race for that matter), but because I thought many African-Americans would identify with him as "their leader" and thus become democrats even long after he is gone. As a republican you can see where I am going with this.

I don't think you can call this racist, especially since I was pulling for Herman Cain, who is also African-American, before he pulled out (of the running of office and not one of the 12 women who accused him of affairs and ****).

You're worried about a black man winning because other blacks would vote for him (even though the vast majority already vote Democratic)? Let's just assume it's racist even though you found your black friend Cain.

Cool, we can boil the whole 2012 election in this Politics forum down to two threads:

The Obama thread

The GOP candidate thread

Yo, murder is not the only bad thing you can do to a person.

You can ruin their lives economically.

Obama has done that to literally millions of Americans.

Oh man, this thread is going to be awesome.

Boa doing his best to follow the wild hyperbole rule. Throwing in the 'literally' was a very nice touch.

I just saw on the news that the subjects of the reality show "American Muslim" have all gone missing.

I don't like Cain because I need to like an African-American I like him because of his political views. However, if he won it would be twice as awesome, as nearly any other Repub winning. This because he is black and that would most likely sway other black people to vote for him and his party (the way any person follows or likes a person that is successful that reminds them of themselves).

This is why the democrats biggest political fears in the last few years has been Herman Cain and Sarah Palin. The dems know that if the repubs are able to get a minority or female in the white house they will lose a lot of votes, because those individuals will start realizing that not every repubs is some rich fat white guy.

Yeah, black people only vote Democratic because a black guy ran on their ticket 80 years ago. Since then they haven't been able to switch, but put a black guy on the GOP ticket and WHAMMO, instant minority switcharoo!

Maybe I'm reading way too much into your post but you make it seem like minorities and women are stupid and just vote for people that look like them.

The whole 'Blacks vote for Obama because he's black' thing has been debunked a million times. And, I might be remembering this incorrectly, weren't the polls for Cain pretty bad even when polling Blacks?

Who is the black dem from 80 years ago that you are referring to?

No, I am not saying minorities or women are stupid and only vote for those similar to them. However, some of them do I am sure, just like I am sure there were white people that voted against Obama because he did not look like them.
