You're not going to take a ****load of money and run off with it without a significant amount of resources.

Someone who has no reputation and cannot start a business can work for someone who owns a business and build a reputation and save up to start their own business.

Business enact justice instead of a government. Because businesses compete to enact that justice, it will be better than the justice provided by a government, which lacks competition.

What do you do about violent ASists who refuse to respect your property rights and band together in force to stop you from having property?

Respond with an equal level of force to defend myself and my property imo.

No, I wouldn't say that. It's definitely not utopia, but that's impossible.

Wouldn't you say though that life is perpetual war in some way?

What happens now? Why would it be any different in AC land?

And should people not forcefully defend themselves against aggressors?

Here's a good video that would be fitting here imo by Stefan Molyneux.

Re: Ask me (and others) anything about Anarcho-Capitalism

Why is it legitimate to use coercion in defense of property rights but not for other reasons?

Aren't ACists just trying to force their propertarian morality onto others?

So there's no way a young Steve Jobs or Bill Gates can start up a company, and we'll all have to use personal savings instead of loans or venture capital.

Assume the USA or one of it's states becomes completely AC tomorrow. What happens to government owned land, resources, etc?

Re: Ask me (and others) anything about Anarcho-Capitalism

a few questions:

1. how are externalities dealt with? pollution comes most immediately to mind.
2. much of ACism seems to be predicated on contracts. who enforces these?
3. social mobility (or lack thereof): without public resources, do the children of very poor/stupid/shunned community members receive an education at all (their parents have no money, no rep points, whatever). if so, how is it paid for? if not, it seems that you would almost immediately see the emergence of an (enormous) impoverished and uneducated lower class.
4. strong preying on the weak. with all of the AC talk in this forum, i have yet to see a good argument for why a resourced person would not be able to simply eliminate an under resourced person, aside from "their reputation would suffer." is there any reason beyond this?
5. consolidation of resources. a successful business emerges, grows and piles up cash. acquire enough cash to hire business army. they start to want to charge more for their product, competition emerges. what is to stop the first business from using their private army to eliminate competition?

i have others, but this seems a good start.

I'll be back responding in a little bit, but looks like this thread may have gotten derped while I was asleep. I'll try my best to get through everything.
