Congrats TC.
No worries Riverman, each kid only adds a fraction of the work the last one did... and you already have most of the stuff you are gonna need.

#2 now, first one is 18 months. Poor guy is sick today so he didn't get to come up. He has no idea he has a sister or what it means, so he could be in for a shock. He's a bit spoiled, only grandchild, center of attention, big time attention whore, so having another child will be interesting for him. Better to do it now than let him be the star for a lot longer, I suppose.
18 months is a bit young, but he's at least at the phase where he wants to do everything himself, so getting him to walk places and hold hands get in chairs and stuff. So far she's super easy going and a lot more calm than her brother, so hopefully it is a lot easier at first. He was awful from 3-4 weeks, but got to be really good after that.

The boy is easy in his diapers. Change him 4 times a day or so, always poops in the morning or after his nap. It's not a huge deal to take care of. The newborns are another story. At least no cloth diapers this time.

Re: April Fools Life Thread
What brought the cloth diapers on anyway?
I've never really researched it.

You don't spend thousands of dollars on diapers. My wife is considering them for our first. Not sure it's worth the hassle.

Re: April Fools Life Thread
I wouldn't think it would be.
Plus I like the idea of being able to take my daughter's dirty diaper, toss it into a diaper genie into a nice sanitary bag that can be removed later and tossed into the dumpster.

You spend thousands on detergent and water and electric bills washing them instead! And the diapers are not super cheap to buy anyway.
We found some pretty good diaper deals on Amazon, and once my wife got pregnant and nauseous , she didn't want anything to do with with the stinky diapers and cleaning them with the sprayer. It wasn't that bad, but was a bit more work. If she wanted to do cloth on this one, I wouldn't mind too much, washing them was the bigger pain. But two at the same time and she'd have to be running loads constantly.

What's wrong with saving them up throughout the day for and washing them at night? The obvious answer is the smell, but assuming you've got something to put the cloth diapers in that would cover it up, is that doable?
