Lol dude the whole point is that getting around detection is an infraction. If they really want to catch you they could look at your bandwidth usage and wonder how you rack that up w/o ever visiting any site but one (the proxy/VPN). Odds are pretty good they wouldn't do that. But you never know. More likely they'd find the VPN software on your computer - either through a network scan or because you get it serviced or something.

Cliffs: Political activist is arrested for filming cops, he says his equipment captures the cops doing illegal sh*t but before he can pull it all off this electronics the cops rearrest him, confiscate his stuff, but his cell phone is locked. He gets a notification that someone's trying to hack his phone while the police have it and don't have a warrant for it. He sends an email to Internal Affairs that he has evidence that the police are violating his 4th amendment rights. Charges are dropped, he gets all his equipment back but it's all been mysteriously erased except for his locked phone. The audio on his phone have the cops celebrating that they busted him, saying he was 20 feet away and not bothering them, and has them trying to brainstorm ways to find a felony to charge him with.

My neck of the woods has local elections today. I'm about to vote straight ticket D in partisan races and the guys who have signs at my corner bar in the non-partisan village races. I have no idea who any of these people are, but I have a new respect for low info voters.

In city council elections in my small city, it's all at large, so I have to vote for eight. I vote for the three or so I know and like, and then randomly divide my remaining votes among the ones I've never heard of, so as to vote against the five or so I know and dislike.

Then, at the end, I try to convince myself that my system is sound from a game theoretic standpoint. Then all the people I like lose and all the people I hate win, anyway.
