America Going to War with Syria! America Going to War with Syria!

This is not a Trump problem, it is a problem with US politics in general. If Trump is impeached or whatever it will just carry on.
Absolutely correct and you could see this with the response from many supposed liberals or supposedly objective journalists like Brian Williams.

Has it been known for a while? I saw AP reporting it literally today

I guess not officially confirmed, but it's pretty obvious they would have had an idea of what was going on.

I wonder if Trump also knew

Am I the only one who gets pissed off when people "like" horrible news on twitter? JFC

I never thought twice about it, but now I will. Thanks Majik.

It's like Facebook before they switched to their emoji things, "Like" is the only interaction you can have with something, good or bad.

I get more pissed off about it on Facebook given that there are other options to choose from.

sorry, bad phrasing there. what i really mean is we just attacked an ally of russia, and in response russia just basically said don't do it again i really mean it. i don't consider that russia pushing anyone around. i imagine russia is intimately involved in the military decisions of syria, such that they could heavily influence whether they do or don't use chemical weapons, and at this point now that russia already declined to counterattack, syria using chemical weapons again would be a pretty strong indicator that russia still condones their use/is choosing to defy the u.s.

Don't really know what to make of this as its 'evidence' is just hearsay, but its the most credible Assad-didn't-do-it source I've seen.

Two dozen ex-U.S. intelligence officials urge President Trump to rethink his claims blaming the Syrian government for the chemical deaths in Idlib and to pull back from his dangerous escalation of tensions with Russia
Quote:
Our U.S. Army contacts in the area have told us this is not what happened. There was no Syrian “chemical weapons attack.” Instead, a Syrian aircraft bombed an al-Qaeda-in-Syria ammunition depot that turned out to be full of noxious chemicals and a strong wind blew the chemical-laden cloud over a nearby village where many consequently died.

Mike Gravel, former Adjutant, top secret control officer, Communications Intelligence Service; special agent of the Counter Intelligence Corps and former United States Senator
The list carries on.

I've also read several seemingly sensible sources claim there's no way a bombing of a weapons dump could lead to patterns of casualties like in 2013 and last week. Indeed, claiming there's no way a store being bombed could release much sarin into the air at all given how difficult weaponising it is.

I guess war is just a murky business.

Trump told Bartiromo in his FBN interview that we have no plans to go into Syria.

Lol @ keeping them guessing and telegraphing every move. Assad is thankful for your transparency.
