So here we have 2 legal drugs - that have no medical use at all - yet there are illegal drugs that remain illegal because the government says they have no medical use and are bad for you.

It just goes to show you what a sham the government is. I believe that big businesses lobby against these drugs so that they can push their product - I.E lumber instead of hemp - painkillers like oxycodone - and petroleum companies.

It baffles me how the public has let this charade go on for so long. Every one is just a by stander to the war on drugs and I am upset about it. I don't like to see people going to prison for bogus drug charges. Then when they get out they are labeled felons? Unreal

It is just a massive waste, and i'm surprised more citizens aren't lobbying against it.

Like citizens in Colorado and Washington?

you still can't buy it - just possess it. And this is only marijuana.

this is inaccurate. Washington State will be selling herbs at their very own state-regulated facilities. There is nothing in Colorado's new measure to decriminalize herbs that prevents a private citizen from selling any herbs to other citizens.

It is legal to sell in both states, assuming you have a license. You can grow up to three plants for personal use in Colorado.

The last thing this country needs is to be legalizing the "weed" and "poppers" for young hooligans so they can run around our cities spray painting train cars and blasting that rock and roll from their boomboxes. Of course tobacco and liquor are legal, as they should be. These are products with noble histories and long association with proper gentry society. It is ludicrous to compare an evening at the club with fine Cuban and a glass of single malt with hobos huffing from their crack bong in some dingy alley.

Somebody has to pay you to lobby for something.

They aren't worse in moderation. Pretty sure injecting heroine into your arm will effect your life in a more negative way than alcohol and tobacco.

However those could be worse than Pot, which somehow got bunched in with all the hard drugs.

basically money is too blame. Same reason we can bet on horses online but not poker.
