After his [former] Chief-of-Security was fired by the Governor, the ex Security Chief promptly filed a lawsuit against the Governor alleging defamation and unlawful termination. In his complaint, Mr. Lewis related an amusing account of a three-way "conversation" that allegedly occurred between Lewis, the Governor, and Spencer Collier. (Collier was Chief of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency until Governor Bentley fired him. Mr. Collier has also filed a lawsuit against the Governor.)

The three of them are in a state car on their way to a ceremonial appearance. Mr. Lewis is driving. Both Collier and Lewis are trying to persuade the Governor that he has to stop his affair with Rebekah Mason. The Governor is resisting. Collier and Lewis implore him warning that this affair could end up destroying his political career - not to mention his marriage. For his own sake, he must tell Rebekah that it's over.

Bentley is in tears. He keeps saying: "I can't! I love her! You guys don't understand ..." Collier and Lewis keep insisting that Bentley must bite the bullet and do the right thing - he must confront Rebekah Mason and tell her they're through - it's over. Finally, in total exasperation, Bentley turns to Spencer Collier and asks him: "Spencer, how did you stop your affair?"

Alabama publically shames kids who's parents can't pay for lunches.

**** that state.

Pretty much the worst state in the union, isn't it? In fact, it's probably a step or two down even from a few Mexican states at this point.

Every place has corrupt politicians. The measure of a state is how they deal with their corrupt politicians.

If Alabama impeaches their corrupt politician, they will stand above the United States Senate of almost 20 years ago that was unwilling to convict America's corrupt President Clinton (who admitted to perjury) .

Rumor floating around right now is that Gov. Bentley has reached a plea deal where he'll just have to pay a $300 fine, no jail time, and he's resigning as Governor. It's kind of bull**** since he actually interfered in an investigation and could easily be charged with obstruction of justice and many other crimes.

Yep, Alabama looking much better than many others states that are unwilling to keep a clean government.

He lied under oath. We all know he's not going to be charged, because who's going to charge him? He's the attorney general. But we all know Jeff Sessions lied under oath and is completely illegitimate.

Glad to see you're passionate about something other than dead black kids. Was afraid you were too one dimensional.

CLEAN GOVERNMENT
04-10-2017 , 09:30 PM
Not exactly the cleanest government

Roy Moore is removed from the bench, Speaker Mike Hubbard is in prison, and now Gov. Bentley has resigned in disgrace.

Here's an indication of how paranoid (and how desperate) the "Luv Guv" was in trying to keep his not-so-secret affair covered up.

It's really funny when he tells Ms. Hannah she should "... bow to his throne."
