Reports of an incident at Paris' Notre-Dame de Paris...

No links or concrete info at this time.

edit: initial unconfirmed reports, a man tried to attack a police officer with a hammer and was shot. let's hope the only casualty is the attacker.

How do you know it's a terrorist act and not some random maniac this soon?

we don't know until authorities release statement(s). that said, unfortunately recent events necessitate a catch-all thread to contain these discussions in one thread. no need to create a new thread for each occurence imo.

pic just released of 100s of ppl in the church raising/showing their hands as police enter and look for any other attackers.

What makes a guy running at an officer with a hammer and getting shot a terrorist attack? The attacker was brown?

Need 2 catch-all threads IMO. Brown terror for everyone, and white terror for einbert.

Einbert has a lot of posting to do also, because the white terror outnumbers the brown, by what...4:1?

Paris counter-terrorist prosecutors have opened an investigation, so they're treating it as terrorism at the moment.

Please, we all know white people can't be terrorists. This dip**** only got a few hate crime charges tacked on when he went into a church and murdered people to try to terrorize a race FFS.

Terrorizing black people isn't terrorism. It's only terrorism if white people are scared.

AP quotes a French minister saying the hammer attacker shouted 'It's for Syria' (in French, I'd imagine), which is a slight clue.

Was arguing with a brain dead Trumpkin yesterday who insisted that Muslims are terrorists because they kill people senselessly in malls, airports, etc. but whites aren't terrorists because they always kill people with good reasons.

President Often Tweets Uncouth Statements P.O.T.U.S. Can you believe Trump attacked Mayor of London during their time of crisis?! Why didn't this bloated sociopathic hedonist pick up the phone instead of firing off a tweet?!! It's obvious Trump didn't understand what the Mayor was talking about, but still, what the **** was this Clown thinking of, attacking a leader during their time of crisis? A new ****ing low for this piece of shytt! Please leave! Go back to rippin' off your sub-contractors.

Was just in London and Paris and left London the morning of the incident, visited Notre Dame last week. The other year I was in Istanbul for work and they had an attack not long after I left. Basically if I come to your town ISIS is probably not far behind.

The mosque attack in Montreal is considered a terrorist attack by everyone except the police:
http://montrealgazette.com/news/queb...ex-experts-say

In Canada, by law yelling for Syria and attacking in public does not constitute terrorism. Unsure what the laws are in France, often acting alone means it's not terrorism therefore this Notre Dame incident is not terrorism

If these attacks begin to focus on security/armed men I'd venture that is a very positive development.

Twin attacks on the Iranian parliament and Ayatollah Khomeini's mausoleum in the capital, Tehran, have caused a number of deaths and injuries.
The assault on the parliament building may be ongoing, with conflicting reports of a hostage situation. A suicide bomber died at the mausoleum.
Iranian officials say they have foiled a third attack.
The so-called Islamic State group (IS) has claimed it carried out the attacks, which would be a first in Iran.

Iran's deputy interior minister says the attackers who entered parliament were dressed as women, according to Tasnim news agency.

damn. what a brazen attack to rush parliament.

How serious is the current Qatar situation? Does anyone think it is connected with the attack on tne Iranian parliament? Seems like no, but I don't know too much about that web of relationships.

Interesting that ISIS appears determined to be hated by everyone in the Muslim world, too.

ISIS was already hated by Iran, they are a Sunni group. Hard to say exactly what is going on, other than it all probably revolves around the Saudi Arabia / Iran conflict in one way or another.

Iran supports Assad and is militarily involved in Syria.

Suspect shouted ‘This is for Syria’ before attacking cop near Notre-Dame in Paris
