We have two different pools this year

Original King of the Hill- 18th year, $10/entry, 2024 entries last year, chopped 23 ways
Repeat teams ok, rolling lockdown (pick any game up until it starts), default pick is MNF visitor. New rule this year- we are using the Multi-pick option for week 17- Two picks correct are required for an entry to advance into the post season.

No repeats, rolling lockdown, no default- missed entry=elimination

We do not use the week 1 Thursday game, but all games of all other weeks are in play. Fees due by Saturday 9/12, cash in person or check to our PO box. PP will not allow us to use them.

These are 100% payout- no rake/no fee, and comply with Ohio Revised Code S2915.

Main KOTH pool
We're substantially ahead of last year's pace. Last year on this date relative to opening day (T-22) we were at 413 and this year we are at 737. The schedule calendar did shift 6 days though this year, but even as of the same calendar date last year we didn't have this many.
I'm gonna predict 2200 entries.

On the KothX we are at 54. Not sure how that stacks up against last year but I think we'll set a new record in that one as well.

We don't have a limit on how many entries a player can have. We do have a system imposed limit of 10 per self signup just so some smart ass doesn't sign up for a thousand entries or something. Just sign up for 10 entries and I'll add 10 to your player ID.

Any shot of a max two entry $100+ pool?

Well two pools with 2000+ entries is plenty for us to deal with each year.

However our site is available for you to use to run one at no cost! Set it up however you want. Two max, whatever.

Asking only out of curiosity. The entry counts showing now (or any time leading up to closing) - are those confirmed paid entries or does it include entries payment is still pending for?

The entry counts are how many have signed up. Many are still pending payment at this point. Historically we kick out a few, but very few on the last day for non-payment, so the counts can be considered pretty solid.

Speaking of counts, we are now at 119 in the KOTHX and 1326 in the Original KOTH.

We also have 252 players from last year who have not yet requested entries... I expect the vast majority of them to come in over the next 10 days, so I'm still thinking 2200 is a pretty reasonable guesstimate on the main pool. We'll probably hit 175 in the KOTHX.

Now sitting at 169 in the kothx which breaks last year's figure!

Our original KOTH pool now is at 1765, so still nearly 300 to go to break last year. Not sure if we're gonna break it or not. Lots of last year's peeps still not in, but we are running out of time. it's gonna be close.

can you do venmo?

Same as JBBABY...can you take venmo? I would send a check today but doubt it gets there by Saturday.

unfortunately I have not set up a venmo account. I will need to investigate that for next year. yeah, unless you can pay in person by Sat (which means Phoenix or Dayton OH) then basically you're outside looking in at this point.

Looks like we are going to set new records in both pools. Wubba & I are just wrapping up the pre-pool administration (translation- booting out the welchers) and it looks like the final tallies will be about

KOTHX- 194

The signup pace definitely fell off towards the end, as a few weeks ago we were pacing hundreds ahead of 2014. I think that has a lot to do with the 6 day calendar shift that happened this year. Everyone got signed up earlier relative to the NFL start date. Anyway, still a record, still a lot on the line $20750- that'll make a good down payment for your next Porsche.

Quite a few twoplustwo'ers in this year as has been the case lately.

As everyone in survivorpoolland knows, week 2 was a disaster of epic proportions.
Our main pool (2075 entries) is sitting at just 294 safe with another 201 riding on tomorrow's game.
The KOTHX started at 195 and is down to 26 safe with 19 open on tomorrow's game.

With this, Wubba & I have decided to launch another pool, we're calling Zathras & Wubba's Second Chance Pool or KOTH2.0 for short.

This will be identical to our $10 survivor pool- repeat teams, rolling lockdown, MNF visitor default, and double picks on week 17. Read the rules details here:

This pool will start week 4.

Week 10 was as much of a bloodbath if not moreso then Week 2, as the original KOTH went from 89 players down to 9 w/GB, DEN, and CIN losing. To say it was a crazy year would be an understatement of the century hah never seen anything like it in 4-5 yrs of playing survivor pools. Looks like some of us are trying to negotiate at least some sort of deal.

Yeah it was a crazy year for sure. I got bounced out of the biggie with GB and the second chance with the Bengals.

The KOTHX came to a final conclusion this week with 3 players who had already agreed to chop 6k and play for the other 1800- and all 3 lost making that a moot point. So they all get 2600.

Main pool looks like negotiation is indeed underway! congrats on being in on the win!
