What triggers the ban of winning players?

I have done a google search on this topic, and found people saying they got banned for being a winner. Are those special cases or a general practice for US facing sites other than bookmaker? For those of you that consistently win and live in US, how do you get by with that? If it is triggered by the amount you win, how much would that be? Thanks.

mainly winning. all books have their different methods- check after 10 bets, 100 bets, 3 months of bets, win 10k etc etc never withdraw until you have to

I guess most people here are winners. How do you get around this? It is not like you can hide the fact that you win. The books can find it out very easily.

i do a few **** bets for small value loss to start with to try and look like a mug but they all go eventually

Sounds like the best approach is to not request payout till they ban you and hoping to be under the radar as long as possible?

Betting lines that are clearly typos is something a novice winning player should avoid

good question - I have one account that went broke after a reasonable deposit twice - that account is now booming and from comparing stories with others they were severely limited well before they got to the amount I have now won

There was one time I bet on a line of like +600 on 5dimes, thinking that is a good odds. Later on I got a message from 5dimes saying that is an error and cancelled my bet. When I checked again, it moved to +400. I had similar situation happened 3 times this year, two during worldcup. Is this considered a typo?

Do you mind to provide more details? At what winning amount did your friends get limited and at which book? How much have you made so far without any problem and where do you play? Thanks
