US Open, Profitable angle

Dustin Johnson is sitting at 40/1 to win the US Open at a bunch of sports books. He is making a run at the Saint Jude Classic as I am creating this tread. Anyone who follows golf knows how talented this guy is. 40/1 is a bargain. He was 25-1 before his Jet-ski incident.(Which caused him to miss The Masters)
This is in no way a sure thing, but at 40/1 I am confident it is a +Ev move.
Any thoughts or criticisms are obviously welcome.

very happy to see dustin win as i'm a big fan.

as per before accident, not sure how much those odds meant i.e. probably not much action...... but tiger's gone way down in odds so everyone else goes up. and rory who probably went way up looked good this weekend
i think the feeling on olympic is it's pretty tight and requires alot of finesse. NOT good for DJ. has been successful at pebble but i don't think it's comparable even though it's nearby

Re: US Open, Profitable angle

I'm not really sure how this thread turned into an English lesson. I assumed wiper's ? was for the reply.
I am not shilling for Dustin. Ha, DJ just has the tools to win on any given week. My biggest problem with betting him on the reg is that he has just about zero grind in him under normal circumstances. This weekend isn't just another week on the tour, he is coming off a win now and he has had the US Open in his grasp in the past. I can see how course conditions could play against him. But even for say 30-1 I'd lay action.

Even when he was playing at a course where he had a such a solid track record at like Pebble that just about everybody knew about it, you could find Dustin at in the 60/1 range for the US Open. His odds in majors have always been at about this range. I don't see 40/1 as any sort of steal personally. Find a top 5 through 3 rounds prop and slam it. I still can't believe this guy handed Darren Clarke the Open last year and lost me 12k in winnings

Dustin Johnson has now been moved to 25-1 on sportsbook. I decided to reference 5dimes for a truer sample and their current quote is 30-1.

The top 5 thru 3 rounds might be a nice hedge. I have yet to look thru the props.

That was a joke on my behalf. That prop doesn't exist. That's just his current legacy in majors that I was on the **** end of once

Re: US Open, Profitable angle

It might be possible to find a similar prop. DJ is not more than 30-1 anywhere.

Re: US Open, Profitable angle

If I'm in on 30-1 for first, I am also in at 3.33-1 for top 10.
