Re: Tennis Betting Thread

I know these small tourneys before a major are unpredictable, but did not see Isner losing to washed up Davydenko.. didn't bet it, but screwed my future... oh well, still have Simon in the semis.

Taking Darcis +550ish vs. Almagro. Almagro looked bored yesterday, and Darcis has surprisingly played a decent tourney.

I agree with you on the Isner result, did not see that coming. I am wondering how badly Isner wanted to go deep in Nice with Roland Garros around the corner. I am surprised he even played. Almagro is rough and not the type to half ass a tournament so not loving Darcis.

Re: Tennis Betting Thread

First Round Bets for Sunday ATP:

- Victor Hansecu +225

- Andy Roddick -130....Mahut? Seriously? I'd be fading ARod against about 95% of the tour, but he gets a draw against a guy who is horrible on clay and even more horrible at Roland Garros (2-12 last 14)

- Machado +302...Anderson sucks on clay, and Machado has made a decent living off of it. KA should never be more then a 2-1 favorite against anyone on clay.

Any reason for Hanescu? I was looking to lay the 5 games and go the other way. Anderson is not great on clay but not horrible. You have to keep in mind Roland Garros is a little big quicker than most clay courts. Players that were not good clay courters like Henman and Rafter have done well there in the past it is just a very pure playing court. Roddick vs Mahut is just two horrible players going at it. I think it is a great matchup for Roddick but he is just awful atm.

My only bets for tomorrow are:

Roger-Vasselin -6 games 1.877
Munoz -De La Nava +8 games 2.01

not too excited about tomorrow's schedule. Good luck boys.

Re: Tennis Betting Thread

Really think fading Andujar in big tournaments will win you money in the long run... Hanescu has been a much better player in bigger tourneys, and even has had some success in the past here.

Andujar is 8-15 in TMS and 4-8 in GS Main Draws.... And he is in horrible form right now, despite this supposedly being his strong part of the season: Lost in straight sets to GGL and Doglopolov, and lost in 3 to Paire in Serbia.... He also lost as a huge favorite to Farah in Barcelona. He doesn't look right IMO. Hanescu hasn't been much better, but he did beat Andujar back in February....

I do agree with you about De La Nava.... 8 games is way too much for Cilic to cover.

Hanescu choked in typical fashion.... Oh well, Machado is still a live dog going into the 5th set tomorrow.
