Dancevic looks like a very live dog at + 120 against Simon tonight in around 7 hours .
Not only is Simon in very bad form this year but he also hasn't played official hardcourt matches in around 6 monthes . I still have 2007 tournament in my mind when I've watched Dancevic take out Del Potro , Verdasco and taking the first set against Rafael Nadal .
Also Monfils hasn't played in 2 monthes coming in here from an injury against Safin who is + 130 underdog . They've met in Miami in march where Safin was 2 breaks up in the deciding set and managed to lose 6-7 in tiebreak . Wouldn't be surprised if Safin has won this , he defeated Ginepri and Gulbis last week before going out against very game Haas . Monfils's form is unknown but usually players struggle in their first matches coming in from an injury .

Definitely looks like atleast one of them should win , maybe even both .

How many units do you reckon it's fair? I am hesitant on Safin as he has consistently underperformed, through the years, he has always struggled in 1st round matches, but i'll take the underdog odds.

Dancevic definitely looks like the better play but the way I see it either of them can win given the circumstances : both Simon and Monfils haven't played on hardcourts in ages and they are people who will easily fold if things don't go their way , especially this season . I will start with both at betfair to do some trading during the match . Bet what you think is fair for you , I would not suggest to bet a lot on plays that are tailed .

Rain delay in both tournaments ...

On Berdych to Beat Kohlshrieber. If you look at the German's form lately and the fact that Berdych is 4-0 lifetime vs him I think this bet has merit at 1.70.

I've seen both of Kohlschreiber's recent losses on clay and he was not interested at all , it almost seemed like he just showed up for a paycheck . Don't know whats wrong with this guy. Berdych can be solid but can be a total nightmare to bet on , he is definitely on my black listen with likes of Youzhny or Mathieu . I will have a look at this one but could get close .

Was able to trade out some profit from Safin match as not only did he get up to 8.00 + odds in play after losing the first set be he has got as low as 1.35 after easily winning the 2nd set and then being 2-0 up in the deciding set .
Dancevic got killed , loss here . Not sure what was going on , after the rain delay courts seemed to have slown down a lot and Simon was able to break Dancevic easily bunch of times .

Both underdogs lost but one got very close if not the collapse in 3rd set again . This is why the best way to bet on underdogs is via live betting if possible .

First round stats :

I've noticed Verdasco had 8 DFs , it was his first match in a while so I am not really surprised . Other than that his stats are very solid , Lopez was tougher opponent for Verdasco than Zverev for Mayer . If we skip that close 7-6 second set win for Lopez Verdasco really dominated his friend winning both first and third set 6-1 .
Mayer's serve isn't bigger than Verdasco's and he will struggle once in the rally against superior skilled player . I believe Verdasco wins this 9 out of 10 times against Mayer on any surface .
Good way to reduce the juice is to parlay him with Gilles Simon against Falla who is - 370 as well .

Andreev just tanks the first set for fun 1-6 and 2nd set he easily holds every single time but loses 6-7 in tiebreak for combined 20 games and 1 game short from a push .
Parlay lost as well , Radwanska wasted countless breakpoints and lost in 2 sets , Wawrinka and Simon have won .
Hopefully Haas and Gonzalez go over 23 to reduce the losses by a little bit .
