I'd still send the email warning people what happened, just wait until you've been paid and make it clear the guy did pay you in full (assuming he does) but it took months and a bunch of hassle and thats why you're choosing not to return - at that point if people continue to participate in his pools they're doing it well aware of what may happen with regards to being slowpaid and the chance it's a ponzi scheme and the guy may be using future pool entries to pay out past winners etc.
Good to see that you've got most of whats owed to you now, best of luck with the rest of it.
He's already contacted some of the people in the pool putting himself in the worst possible position. I'm struggling to understand your interjection other than exhibiting your fundamental misunderstanding of how to read threaded conversations.
Partner received an email saying final payment will be good to go on Wednesday May 31. We have a signed but undated check for final payment. Finger crossed this whole thing will come to an end, then I can go on to smash the Colossus!
If pool manager offers free entry into 2017/18 pool, how would you respond? I think we say, "Thank you" and move forward...
The pool manager has offered to send us an additional 1k for all the hassles of getting slow paid.
It appears that the extra 1k is partly to stop us from discussing/emailing/announcing that we got slow paid.
While it was awesome to win, it turned into a major hassle, with more than one slightly heated conversation with partners about to how best to handle getting slow paid.
Thanks to all who provided genuine ideas, suggestions, etc...
