Re: Super Bowl Thread... (It's kind of a big deal)

Rsig , both times, the pats won their 1st meetings, so there has to be some revenge on billicheck's mind this time since they lost the 1st meeting.

Bob, I did mean what I said. But if you read closely I did doubt whether it would really have an impact knowing both teams will be pumped anyways but I did assume that the pats will play with more intensity because of how close they are with their owner and his wife who passed away. I did disclaim my thought that "I was not sure" and I just took it as a small +. sorry if I angered you

p.s. thx for the compliments bob but I think Rsig is the only genius in here !

my touting is only college football so posting my thoughts here on an nfl game is for fun and something that I'm pretty sure any poster has the right to do.
But yeah , you guys are probably right. I should probably not post here anymore.

Difference is other than the 1st quarter in the 1st meeting with the Broncos, they pretty much kicked the crap out of them then too.

Do you use the same analysis methodolgy for your college picks? Who was more motivated for the BSC Championship Game? Unless you are taking the Stu Feiner/Brandon Lang approach to the touting scam business, you may want to think before you post.

Re: Super Bowl Thread... (It's kind of a big deal)

I think the Giants are the better team overall, but am having a hard time betting against NE here. FWIW, I'm a Pats fan but I don't let that affect my bets(had the Giants in '07, had Indy in the AFC game years ago, etc.). I just think this line is pretty much dead on perfect and may stay away. If anything, I'm leaning NYG(+7.5) -245.

didn't want to post here anymore , but I guess I have to defend myself...
I clearly disclaimed in my original post that I didnt think it would be much of a factor but I counted it as a bonus. My analysis for college football comes from strength of schedules, watching games, and various other stats.
as for the brandon lang approach, I suck at salesmanship , so I would not know how to do it nor will I do it. pretty sure anyone that has followed me for the past 3 years has done well for themselves.

I was referring to self promotion, not your followers. In fact, I have heard much to the contrary regarding positive claims from your followers, but 2+2 is not the appropriate place to discuss those.

Seems like a Superbowl with little to no value, should be tightly contested. I don't think anyone with a straight face can say team A is superior to team B or team A will exploit this tendency of team B to win convincingly. One of the most evenly matched Superbowls in recent memory. The value seems to lie in the prop bets, if anywhere.
