Sports Spread betting BR advice

Hey all,

I'm looking for some help with defining my bankroll for spread betting. I primarily back horses/dogs and football matches, however am increasingly successful in the player performance markets.

The issue that we have here is it cannot be traded real time (only pre-game and at half time), and has no fixed win/loss amount.

For example, a football player may have a spread of 60 (sell) - 65 (buy).

Say we use a stake of 1 point with the following rules:

+2 per completed pass in oppo half
+5 for shot on target
+2 for shot off target
+10 for assist
+25 for a goal
+3 free kick won
-3 free kick conceded
-10 yellow card
-25 red card

The maximum make-up (winning and losing) are therefore very hard to predict.

How would anyone go about defining a bankroll for something like this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Sports Spread betting BR advice

Good luck!!!

I've tried middling standard bets with the indexes.

Its worked quite well for nba h1 totals, h1 team totals and team totals and rugby h1 team totals too

Things like $500 over 101.5 at $1.925
Then bet $100 per point on under 103.5 with a 10pt stop loss applied

But sometimes not so well
Over 15.5 fir largest lead in a NBA game $500 at $1.87
Middled with under 18.5 fir $100 a point
Largest lead is 42..... I lose

Under 52.5 for nba player performance points $500 at $1.87
Middled with over 49.5 at $100 per point
Player gets 12 performance points..... I lose

Does your provider not have a max win/loss set??
My guess is if you can have half your bank roll left after 5 max losses and if you have a profitable strategy then your bankroll should survive the vast majority of swings.

Or maybe if you bet on football player performance of say over 65. Assume max realistic loss is 65, so have roll of 650 units

How often do you wipe out your bankroll?

50 units for a goal........ cant dodge too many of those with a 100pt roll
