Re: Sports Betting Bad Beat Stories

It's kind of weird b/c this took place about ten years ago and he is one of the few high-school friends that I still run into. I guess it is still kind of running joke as small group of us refer to getting scammed as being insertlastname'd (obv his last name). I have probably drank well over $50 in his beer and booze tho, so I dont sweat it.

At the time there was considerable riff over it.

Dal -1.5

Next time this thread pops up I am going to say I bet Dal IRT, would have been the biggest bad beat of all time and can /thread every time in the future.

Re: Sports Betting Bad Beat Stories

ouch.

what was the line on the browns/chiefs (i think?) game where the last hail mary was knocked out of the qb's hand and the stupid browns linebacker took his helmet off and threw it in celebration, only the ball was still being kicked around. then it got picked up by an offensive lineman and advanced to about the 40 yard line.

still good, only now there was a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty for the helmet through, and the chiefs (??) line up for an easy fg to win.

can't remember the line though.

That's pretty forgiving of you to blow it off after "we didn't shake on it."

No ****ing way that guy remains my friend. Even if he paid the next week or something there's a chance I'm blowing him off for good just for trying to pull something like that.

I mean, maybe if he paid a week later and apologized and was all, "I get weird when I have too much to drink. I'm really sorry I did that. I was really pissed about losing" blah blah blah. Well, okay. You were too drunk AND you apologized. Let's move on.

But NEVER paying and insisting he was correct not to over "we didn't shake on it" is about as slimy as it gets.

Re: Sports Betting Bad Beat Stories

lets rename thread or make a new Sports betting BBV
people can brag and moan how much they made and lost today , this week, this month, how much they beat closing line by, why they suck bla bla bla
The plo forums have it , what ya think MB?

Not really a bad beat but booking all my friend's actions on Giants ML this year for the whole playoffs killed me. I guess i get that for being a traitor
as for badbeats, nothing too crazy that i still remember

I won 1k on that play. I live in Pittsburgh so it was extra special. Right before it happened I laughed to a friend and said all we need is an interception and a run back then 3 sec later it happened. As I cheered for it I noticed that another guy was screaming at him to get tackled while wearing a Harrison jersey.

ohh and sorry for starting a thread that has been done before. My search skill suck.

Re: Sports Betting Bad Beat Stories

Not the worst beat in the world with the old, but the '09 mlb season. I loaded up on the Phils to win the world series at the beginning of the post season. Once they hit the world series I loaded up on the credit cards and what little cash I had for phils to win in 5, 6, and 7 games. Had a local guy at time and was up 2k on him for the season. I spent that and 2.5k of credit that he gave.

So yeah, that was the start to major degenerate lifestyle.

PS - I'm so glad I didn't bet on Pacman. I woulda lost huge too.

He then proceeds to hit one of the most unbelieveable shots ive ever seen. From the dirt, he aims like completely away from the hole and whacks the prettiest fade. The ball still lands far away from the cup, but of course rolls for like 10 minutes and he ends up winning it all. The best part was they must have showed that shot for a week on espn afterwards.

look at that ****ing shot
He was something like +160 on Pinny live right before hitting that shot. That's not even a bad beat by BrianL standards.
