I wanted get a thread going on specific posts that really changed how I looked at sports betting. Hopefully others have similar experiences with posts that stuck out in their minds as they learned how to be profitable. It would also be nice if possible to give credit to the original poster and if you're hardcore/good at search maybe even find the exact post.

Here are my two posts that really helped me make upwards of $11.20 an hour.I learned from a ton from lots of posters here but these two posts are the ones that really stuck out in my mind.

After understanding this I stopped taking out 5k from my roll every time i got to 15 and other terrible -eg things I would do.

This is the best I can do to try and help around here I can't give the bottom feeders sick +EV picks like Iowa and risgsnacarlol. my markets are too small and comprised of 7 team bclc parlays. Hopefully this get some discussion going or at least something interesting.

Do you make any team-specific adjustments? Like obviously in baseball you can't derive the 5i line directly from the full game since you have starting vs. bullpen pitchers, but even in football or basketball couldn't coaches have different strategies or teams have different tendencies that would throw off a straight algebraic derivative model? I heard that NBA 1q's, for example, some teams tend to consistently overperform at home.
