Is chasing deposit bonuses a viable "starter" strategy to sports betting? Seems most sites offer $100-$500 deposit bonuses but I just want to make sure that this is a decent introductory strat. Seems like I've found 40+ sports betting sites, are the ones typically shown on OddsCapper assumed to be safe?

dont know anything about odds capper but bonus hustling is a fine way to get going. Read the terms closely though...lots of books have really high rollover requirements. You may get ****ed with here and there, but if I was starting out now with cash on had, id look to deposit at as many books as possible and take advantage of their bonuses adn free plays. Read about how to maximize free plays too (lots of long shots are the best way to go)

I’m an American spending some time in Costa Rica. I have a house/address but only US bank accounts, debit/credit cards, and ID. What’s my best bet to get money on Pinnacle? Or should I use some other site? I only want to bet pretty small ($50-100) on major sports and want easy deposit/withdrawal.

Stay away from Bet Online

I played their NCAAF props from Tuesday night. There was a question about whether Oklahoma being ranked O/U 8 and Baylor being ranked O/U 13 1/2

I took it to mean U 8 meant 9th or worse, and O 13 1/2 meant higher than 13th, but I wasn't sure. I REALLY liked the 2 plays, so I contacted customer support to make sure I was placing the bets correctly. The Customer service rep told me I was, so I placed the wagers as Under 8 (to place worse than 8th) and Baylor O 13 1/2 (to place higher than 13th). If it was to be graded the other way, I made it clear that I would play it that way -- I MADE IT CLEAR WHILE I WAS ON LIVE CHAT THAT I WAS ON OU TO BE RANKED BELOW 8 AND BAYLOR TO BE RANKED HIGHER THAN 13 1/2 AND JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE I WAS PLACING THE BETS CORRECTLY.

Well, the wagers were graded as losses, and after 24 hours of back and forth, they refused to even refund the wagers, let alone grade them as wins. Turns out, the information given by their own people, the chat logs, none of that mattered

So **** Betonline. If you are an American, this is the kind of **** you worry about when looking for a place to play.

aww, baby's first encounter with a latin american shitbook. cute.

get everything in writing. take screenshots. remember the person on the other end has about 6 years of schooling, an IQ of 85, and gets paid $3 an hour. there was one book that had good customer service. it was called the greek. they closed.

Over/Under always means the number, not what you think of as being higher or lower in rankings. Same thing on draft props.

But yeah, customer service sucks. A lot of the time the books don't even know the bets they're posting. Heritage tried to cancel a test cricket bet on the draw because the first day got rained out. Then they claimed the bet was only for the first day, when a "draw" after one day is not actually possible. Multiple dumbass managers couldn't wrap their heads around it either.

BetOnline: I would highly recommend NOT using betonline. I received an email offer of a 100% deposit bonus up to $2,500. The $2,500 in the form of a free play. Cool. I deposit the money, no free play shows up on my account. I call the number in the email, talk to some random tier 1, then someone who is supposedly a manager... neither have even heard of the email and thought I was making it up. I even responded to the email while on the phone with them, and nothing. Baiting people into posting thousands is pretty ****ing scummy.

Hm. I actually have some good feedback on betonline. Got 3 cashouts by check within a week of requesting each. The limit is 2500 per week.
