I've been doing player props for NFL and NBA off 5Dimes and Bovada. To my understanding Pinnacle won't have player props until playoff time. Are there any other good options?

Re: betonline complain. Repost that on SBRForum.com and file a complaint. That book is notorious for poor customer support.

re: player props. If you have access to all books is plenty of options. TheGreek is another to look at for sure. I generally Google search any prop bet I'm going to bet and with right wording can generally get added results beyond what I monitor. The sites I do monitor for common props (such as QB Passing Yards) are Bodog/Bovada, 5Dimes, Intertops, Bet365 and Ladbrokes. There are others for example Bookmaker has less player props and more team props but does have some. Most open very late like inside the hour before game. I'm talking football here, I don't know much about NBA. But do know TheGreek is one to add to list for those.

Following up to your response Prop player. Do you recommend Sports Interaction? Looks like they maintain a balance in CAD as well and looking at the site you gave me, the lines are heavily shaded giving the underdog value. Any opinons on this book?

They've been around a long time and are reliable for payouts. They had some issues in the past but we're talking way in the past and not much that wasn't resolved.

The issue there now is their tolerance to risk has gotten much lower. In the past could win $10K off them before they would close account. Then a couple years ago was more like $3K. Now if you come in and bet only those underdogs, it takes just a few bets for them to say risk management department has made decision to close account. When this happens they do pay. So yeah is worth joining and hitting those soft lines, just don't expect to last long is all.

Entirely new to the sports betting scene, so thanks for making this thread PropPlayer. I'm planning only on betting NBA atm, all the games every day and maybe a bet or two on NFL playoffs. I know PropPlayer stated in the FAQ and such to do research and to be honest I find all the information staggering. I'm basically heavily leaning toward a first deposit on 5Dimes and it seems like it's a decent enough place to be. Just wanted further assurance from anyone if the site is legit or not. Thanks.

5d/bovada is basically what i'm rolling with lately.

i realize pros don't use bovada as much (lower limits) but for those of us who aren't, it's ridiculous how often their line is off.

haha, if that's what you're looking at then definitely avoid them.

props and shading favorites is what i'm looking at, and they're awesome for that.

fastertiger, if you're in the US, bet $500 or less per game, and are using just one book, 5Dimes will be the best answer a large percentage of the time. With the same criteria if adding a second book for line shopping Bovada probably is ideal as next to add. Bovada isn't a good single book option for most bettors.

With 5Dimes don't make the mistake of claiming a bonus or changing to another rewards package. The default option reduced juice is far better value. On game day will see a tab under the sport you're looking to bet called "reduced" click that and you will find better odds than on the straight wagers menu.

Thanks Prop Player and good advice on the reduced juice default option. I really am just getting my feet wet with this stuff. 5Dimes it is

just make sure you're in the reduced juice section. otherwise you'll be paying -110.

And which is a more solid depositing option, with a Credit/Debit Visa deposit or through some type of money order?

It's not as good for most Americans because isn't as many reduced juice options in US. For sure is worth considering if betting teasers and are outside the US because have Pinnacle, SBO, several others and exchanges available, but in US giving up reduced juice will cost more for most.

Credit cards can be a hassle later with needing to fax scans and banks can be sketchy too. It doesn't matter a lot if use that method, but will have less hassle and less worry about issues with bank if either send a money order or send cash using MoneyGram or Western Union. They pick up the fees on all those options if the deposit is at least $250. If depositing less use credit card. If over decide how much the hassle of needing to send scans of CC and ID is worth later and how important it is your debit card or CC issuer doesn't see your depositing to a gambling site.

It sounds like 5dimes is the best reduced juice book for US, but what is the next best? I am thinking for NBA and NCAAB mostly.

I place about 95% of my action on BetUS..
They do not have the best juice overall, but if you are a cherry picker you can occasionally get some really, really, really good lines there. Additionally, even for a player with a very small roll such as myself their BetUS Mall / Mall Pt's offer about a 1.5% return on the juice.

Payout is also very convenient. They mail you a prepaid visa debit card which they send cashouts to directly.

How many books do you guys keep balances on? I only keep money on 2 at the moment but feel I should branch out to do more line shopping.

I have 3 real books and 2 quasi-books funded (acr and carbon, but mostly poker). I think the more outs the better to a degree. I consider myself a novice bettor but I think if the books are reputable and you are able to fund them, it's good to have a few bullets that can be fired instantly. Book to book transfers and other methods to move $ around are not always instant and can cost you some ev.

I'd imagine if you are max-betting (or near it), it might be a little riskier to keep a bunch of units online though. I may be off-base and would like to see what some other more experienced players have to say.

They appear to have identical lines and juice.

edit: afaict, yes they are the same. Good to know.

Acr doesn't appear to have live-betting.

With all the shennigans with offshore bs, I think you guys are crazy not betting with locals. Just go to a poker game and ask around if anyone takes action. 100% someone will at least know someone that does, and thats how you get your foot in the door. Untaxed, untraceable cash every week, no processing fees and whatever else. And beleive it or not, your money will probably be safer doing it this way than offshore

Currently using Bovada, but thinking there's something better out there. Checking out lines at BetUS I see that it's probably a good idea to have my roll split into multiple sites, so I was wondering what the other good options there are. I know some people use World Sports Exchange, and I've heard there is one called Bet360. If anyone has any quick info or a link to get me started I would really appreciate it

I am in the US and use 5dimes, Bovada, and Intertops. Have heard mixed things about Betus and have stayed away.

Damani311, I strongly suggest reading the FAQ sticky on the top of this forum regarding not all sportsbooks being reputable. World Sports Exchange (WSEX) is likely operating while insolvent. Their regulator terminated their license ages ago, and some players have been waiting over 2.5 years for payments with little hope of getting paid. It is a sportsbook where a considerable chance exists that if you attempt to cash out you won't get paid too. Have a look at that section of the FAQ and the posts in this thread. If you have other questions ask them here.

FOr SOccer:

****** does seem awesome and their juice is usually 1-2 points better than Pinnacle.

Their deposit options are limited though unless you love Moneybookers.

Also I was wondering about their limits, Pinnacle has capped a few of my wagers on Soccer.
