If the Olympics track is considered fast then an athlete is more likely to break the record. I doubt any track athlete will take anything forgranted and not try to break the world record. They all have coaches and motivators to tell them this. Its a once in a lifetime event for some of these guys. Pretty sure they'll go all out here

But you have to factor in, in my opinion, who it was saying the track is fast.
If all you have ever driven is a Lada, then a decent car is going to feel fast.
But it's obviously only fast in comparison.
Anyway, you always have to remember how good 9.58 is as a world record.
