Best sportsbook for U.S. players? Best sportsbook for U.S. players?

11-04-2012 , 11:40 PM
Which site is best for U.S. players? I realize line shopping is important but my biggest concern is fast cashouts. I'll be depositing with a credit card.

There is no right answer without knowing your bankroll is, what you're betting, and many other factors. Also there are many books that offer fast payouts (cash transfer WU/MG) but it's costly. Many would prefer to wait up to a couple weeks for a check. Others don't like the idea that sometimes these bounce or have holds with their bank etc and just pay the fee.

5Dimes is probably the most ideal for the majority of US bettors that want just one book. If you're playing higher stakes though Bookmaker (can take a few weeks to get paid but often faster), Legends (pays fine) are options. If you like bonus and are playing few hundred per bet or less Justbet for CC and payouts rather quick (work their live chat for a better bonus). Bovada is fine too (watch out for dual lines but decent for dogs). I'm not a fan of either (but am not in US and don't need to be) but Heritage and BetIslands are other options many players like. I mean could write a massive post on this. Take a look at FAQ and then research what meets preferences. There are many options. If you find one and then have questions about that specific book this would be much easier to answer rather than writing a book about what each sportsbook offers.

I appreciate that you responded, but most of those you mentioned aren't available to U.S. players.

I'd like a site that offers high max bets on NFL games and fast cashouts. Won't be doing high volume of bets so not really concerned about bonuses.

I have used 5 dimes and have the most experience with them. They're great. If you're in the U.S. and need a book I'd definitely recommend 5dimes. I also know that Bovada has awesome customer service and quick payouts. Plus you can play poker on Bovada also. That's my 2 cents

Every site I mentioned DOES accept US sports bettors.

Cash out limits is an issue depending what you mean by high limits. For example Bookmaker accepts very high limits on NFL game and can request a $2500 P2P withdrawal every 7 days at a $150 fee. If you're cashing out more than $10K per month here, wires are expensive and problem prone (have delays more often). This is an issue you'll need research if you're planning to cash out more than that. There are weekly withdrawal limits for the faster methods at many sites. If it's an issue you'll need to use multiple sites.

Every single book he listed is in fact available to US players

Didn't want to start a new thread on this so I'm glad this came up.

Does anyone know where to buy a prepaid visa card that I can use to fund a bovada account?

I e mailed them and they said I need one for international online purchases and I haven't been able to find one anywhere.

Have heard the option mentioned in post #8 and that thread is recent. Perhaps someone else might respond but if that one doesn't work you might want to check the internet poker forum which is more active because would imagine depositing for poker and for sports is likely the same.

prop took the time to write a fairly long and thorough reply to help you, a complete stranger, and you couldn't even will yourself to enter "[sportsbook] usa players" into google

heard wsex has really soft lines and quick payouts these days

I am not from the U.S but 5dimes is really good in my experience.

Your not going to find fast payouts at high volume anywhere. 5 dimes, bookmaker, etc all are mostly limited to $3000 a month tops and then be careful of the fees. Bookmaker and Heritage are just crazy with the fees they charge. 1 book i recommend is 1Vice. you'll have to search cus no way im posting a link to anywhere on this forum.

The real reason i replied though is someone recommended WSEX......STAY FAR AWAY from WSEX. THEY DO NOT PAY, CANNOT PAY AND WOULDNT PAY IF THEY COULD.

I alos do not suggest Bovada, they have absolutely the worst lines on any game. They are what is known as a "square" book. They want players who dont know any better than to play their horrible lines at horrible vigs.

Some other books i use you may want to ck out. EZSTREET, JUSTBET, TOPBET , WAGERWEB......But if you can deposit at 5dimes its really all you need.

Stay away from WSEX please!!! do a search, they owe players well over 7 figures and some have been waiting years.

Actually, Mr. Grumpy Pants, I did google it. I was given the impression that Bovada wasn't accepting NY signups:

... and same with poker accounts for NY signups:

And you can't find a way to take advantage of that? Really?

Thats taking what i said completely out of context. The OP appears to be looking for an everyday book. Ofcourse i have an account at Bovada and SIA also but i dont play every game there as im sure you dont as well. When they have the best number i play there, but thats rare. I cant remember ever making a ML play there because they intentionally have the highest number on the fav and the lowest number on the dog. I played the monday night total at SIA because they had the highest number avail and i liked the low. Thats the 2nd play ive made there this season, i think ive made 4 at Bovada. As an everyday ONLY out they are useless IMHO.

To what free advice are you referring? Going with the rogues at WSEX?
11-08-2012 , 04:24 PM
2nd post is all you need op. I dont know if bovada accepts ny residenst, you could call them and find out in less than 5 min. Also bovada was not the only US friendly book suggested in 2nd post. People did give you advice, use it and quit acting butthurt.

I did contact Bovada right after that post. They take NY residents, if that helps anyone. 5D, Bookmaker and a few others also do.

I don't know who peed in your cereal, but I was defending myself against someone who wrongly said I didn't want to look anything else up myself.

You'd react the same way. myob.
