Re: NCAAB bets

No opinion on Virginia -2. Everyone on SBR seems to love this play.

Re: NCAAB bets

68-51-2 +21.9 units for the season

Cleveland State/South Florida over 116 (-108) for 2 units- I think oddsmakers are overreacting to South Florida's last game. Yes, this team plays a very slow tempo. And yes, they've been taking terrible shots lately and are having trouble finding any go to option on offense, but this team is significantly better and more comfortable at home. I think Stan Heath will make some key offensive adjustments tonight which will result in easier and higher percentage shots. Also, Cleveland State has a bunch of scorers as well. I think both teams can get into the 60's tonight. The total seems to go under an extraordinary amount for both of these teams, but I think the trend will reverse tonight.

SMU -1.5 (-109) for 2 units- SMU will get out-rebounded in this matchup, and may have some trouble guarding the big man combo of Stone and Powell down low. But, I think SE Miss St will have just as much trouble against the dangerous threat of Nyakundi, if not more. SE Miss is very good at scoring, but awful at defense. On the other end, SMU is decent at both, and I don't think Miss will be able to adjust when things don't go their way on offense.

Temple -3.5 (-101) for 2 units- This Rice team can really score averaging 79 ppg's, but if Temple played Rice's schedule (which is 341st in the country) they'd probably be averaging 90 ppg's. I think Temple comes out strong on their second straight road game after dropping one to Texas. They are so efficient on offense and defense, Rice will really have to be knocking down shots tonight to stay close in this one. Fernandez is such a good play maker and facilitator, and when this team gets up they are hard to come back against. Rice is a very uptempo team, but Temple is all around better and I don't think Rice will come out great against the first real opponent they have played so far this season. If Temple can contain the automatic double-double for Rice in Kazemi, they should win this game by 5+.

Ball State -3.5 (-103) for 2 units- Ball State is playing great basketball lately winning 6 in a row, including a 3 point win over Butler last game (which should've been more). They now play IUPUI on a neutral floor, a team they played earlier this year and won by 7 against. Ball State is very disciplined, and they lock up on defense. Their main fault may be that they rely too heavily on Jarrod Jones down low for their scoring, but when a guy is averaging over 20 ppg's you have to go to him often. IUPUI gets up and down the court quickly and can really score, but they give it right back on defense. Last time they played, Jones scored 26 for Ball State (his career high), and unless they can find a way to stop him, he should dominate again tonight. If he can put up those numbers again, Ball State should win by over 5. IUPUI is very inconsistent, but Ball State consistently rebounds and defends the three, which are both very important.

Southern Mississippi -1.5 (-103) for 2 units- Southern Miss. is flat out better. The only reason the line is so close is because they seem to have trouble on the road. Even so, I think the line should be at least -4. Arizona St. is so turnover prone, it's insane. They have over 17 turnover's per game against worse defenses that southern miss, and southern miss forces 15 to's per game against better offenses than Arizona St. This should spell doom for Arizona St. You can't give away that many possessions to a team like Southern Miss.

Georgia Southern +9 (-103) for 1 unit- Gotta keep riding the train. Georgia Southern is now 5-2 ats. Every game I think they are being given too many points, and I think they are again tonight. To be honest, I don't know anything about South Alabama. But, I'll see if the trend continues with Georgia Southern losing, but keeping it close enough to cover. It should be noted that Georgia Southern is terrible on the road, and this line opened at +6. So this may not be the best time to back them, which is why I'm only putting 1 unit on it.

Let's get it

Re: NCAAB bets

So, I am starting a new strategy and tailing JD and other "supposedly successful" handicappers in other forums. Will see if this works. Sorry for the slow start today in case anyone wants to tail me (LOL). Anyways, in no particular order:

La Salle -3
S MIss -1.5
Temple -3.5
SMU -1.5
Ball St -3.5
G South +3.5
Cleve St -3
Citadel +18.5
Denver -6.5
Denver U114
TCU +7
Ball St 1st half -2
Creighton -3
W Ill pk
NC Greens +31
Nichols St +39.5
So Ill -14.5
Cleve St/ O115.5

-Some of the handicappers post night plays later, so I might be making more plays later, but I am going out to watch MNF game so donno if I will bother (I probably will if I am losing and need to chase)

Oops. Seem to be losing most games. Maybe this is an experiment that needs to be aborted. Looks like maybe some of the "great" handicappers I am tailing might have been exaggerating a little about their prowess.
