Kind of weird, exact same score in this game. Wisconsin and UVA are very similar teams, imo.

Re: NCAAB bets

ugh, looks like I'm going to go 3-5 tonight. I guess I can't win every night.

Re: NCAAB bets

thx for the Princeton pick. I viewed it more as Rutgers blows and will find a way to lose. I didn't think about looking at 3s made; that is an interesting stat.

Tomorrow is my birthday. Can I get a lock for tomorrow?

I like Providence/BC Under 141.5... Just look at scoring avgs for both teams... and BC seems kinda terrible so i dont see how they can put up many points on the road...

Re: NCAAB bets

Quick question.

I am following this guy on another forum who makes A LOT of picks every night (probably 1/2 the games). He releases his picks the night before the game and he seems to do a very good job of predicting line movements, meaning more often than not the odds of his picks get worse as the night moves on.

In following his picks I have 2 choices. I can wait until approximately 5:30 am the day of the game and get the picks at -105 at whatever the line is at that time, or I can take them when he releases them the night before at -110.

Lets say 3/4 of the time the line he picks are better than the closing lines. Assuming this is the case do you all think is it worth it to pay the extra juice to jump on the pics early, or to wait for reduced juice?

Thanks.

Re: NCAAB bets

Rank:
Defensive FG%: Kansas St 4 WVU 127
Scoring defense: Kansas st 41 WVU 116
Scoring: WVU 63th Kansas St 68
Offensive FG%: WVU 56 Kansas St 137
KSU turns the ball over way less, both suck at 3's and FTs

Games in Kansas but not on KSUs home floor. Sharps have driven the line to -3. Probably going to take Harvard if they can get pushed to +7

Depends but the bolded most of the time for said random amateurs posting their picks on the internets and i'm an ardent fan of line shopping/predicting movements.

Re: NCAAB bets

nice 3-1 night yesterday, i have already took these following lines:

West Virginia 2u +5: i know im going against what everyone is picking, this game started out as a 2 point spread and it seems like everyone and there mother are jumping on K state, im going with the opposite, i know K state got a squad but i think West Virginia has some things to prove and they come out to play hard today considering there loss the last game. IMO i think that this game will be very close to the bitter end and west virginia might pull out a win as well. this game is on a neutral court near kansas, which slightly benefits wv since they dont have to play in the actual school arena.

Harvard +6 1 unit : missed out on +6.5 decided to grab them at 6. this game is interesting, uconn got some studs on there team including jeremy lamb but i think that harvard is not scared to play against any team in the country and will have a lot to prove in this game. i really like they way harvard plays, watched them a few times dating back from last year and a bit this season in the tourney they played in bahamas and i am impressed, this team is very poised at all times, take care of the ball and they got flat out 3 point shooters all around which will defiantly keep them close in this game. Same as the other game i like i think harvard might pull this one out and maybe even win the game. i think this will go to the bitter end as well.

(i am hoping the same thing happens closer to game time and this spread will go up in favor of Harvard maybe somewhere around 7-8 points and then i think ill add up another unit on this game)

Re: NCAAB bets

Everywhere I look today I see people posting Harvard. And yes, they're off to a nice start and their scores vs common opponents are more impressive than UConns.

But...this game is in Storrs and assuming 4 pts for home court this line says UConn's talent is only 1.5 pts better. Huh? A solid Big East team is only 1.5 pts better than the Ivy League? I'm not buying it. UConn -5.5.

Re: NCAAB bets

Yeah i actually like the Huskies a lot tonight. They just got Boatright and combined with Napier I don't think Harvard can keep UCONN out of the lane. Look for Amaker to try to take Lamb out of the game and force other players to beat him.

the other side of the coin though may be exhibited in what you just said. most people don't think very much of the ivy league's bball teams in general and for that reason it's possible this harvard team is being underrated. in which case that could be where the value is in the line

i'm iffy about this game either way though, was leaning harvard at +6 but might just not play it especially since it's 5.5 now

Re: NCAAB bets

Everyone and their mother was jumping on KState because -2 was an off line. No way in hell i would bet against WVU getting 5.5 points. Not touching the UCONN game.
