Didn't really like many any of the games tonight or the odds that they were giving out for them. But i agree with kob with Minnesota for being the best in the west they are only a slight favourite in this game could be pretty close as Winnipeg has proven to be a force while playing in their home barn. Also chose the NYI, they are 3-0-1 in their last 4 road games and are starting to look a lot better then their record as of late, and to put it plain and simple hate the canadians and they are very up and down lets hope their down tonight.

NYI @ Mtl - +140

Min @ Wpg - -115

Record on NHL thus year
YTD 15-4

good luck all

All these games, and only 1 I like. (But been paying attention to the LAK coaching change)

Cal +130

The hottest team in NHL and in the west: Minnesota
at Winnipeg (1-4-0) record against teams from the west.

Take Minnesota to win

Dallas at NY Rangers
Over is 6-2-1 in DAL last 9 games following a win
Over is 10-4-1 in NYR last 15 home games.
Over is 9-4-1 in the last 14 meetings.

Take Over 5.5 Goals

Carolina at Toronto
Take Over 5.5 Goals

Ottawa at Buffalo
Take Over 5.5 Goals
just booked nyr over 5 -140...do you find that to be an acceptable bet or would you have rather had the 5.5 with less juice?

Side note, it seemed like a really bad day for hockey betting pre-bets and the way the games played out.

Haha funny when i read this NYI MTL were tied 2-2 and Mine wini tied 1-1 and then boom doom switch aha.

I try to be very selective but also want to play a game daily, I'm pretty new so I'm still working on things. Been working on making an NHL model over the past two days with not a lot of luck. I bet on NFL as well which I am actually doing better in. My YTD only includes straight up NHL games I usually stay away from over/under and I plan to keep it that way until I get more experience as for my stats it is purely variance but lets hope it is going in the right direction

Also excited for the NBA it is a sport that I don't know as well as others but I'm ready to learn and ready to experience a steep learning curve hope I can count on you for some insight this season!

minnesota just played last night although their home i think they will fall flat to the rested chicago blackhawks with mvp candidate toews. also emery is looking good for hawks
12-14-2011 , 03:14 PM
booked
CHI -130 ML
12-14-2011 , 06:26 PM
This is a tough one, yes min wilds play a b2b, they could rebound or a beginning of a slide

But I like Ottawa at home against Boston, both will play b2b games but I feel the senator push for a b2b win from here and step up for the challenge to beat the world champ is just
What they need.

Take Ottawa to win
12-14-2011 , 06:29 PM
i took the over on the Ottawa game...good odds for that and have a good feeling...especially with the bruins on fire all season long and scoring machine
think ottawa is good for at least 2 goals too...so should be a good one imo

not sure about MIN - CHI game...maybe pass that...hard to predict for me ...hmm

That's good man,
But let me just say this, for you to be good in anything, you have to put hours, you have to read & skim for information; news on injuries, team chemistry issue, scoring trend and stat are just part of it.

Yea I understand that and I already do that avid sports fan for years just getting into the betting part.

I also like Ottawa tonight I locked in at +165 only game I'm touching tonight.

Good luck all

Dont see how anyone can pick ottawa tonight against Boston. Boston has way more depth and Tim Thomas is a step above Craig Anderson.
Anderson is 1-5 against the bruins life time. Dont see how this bet is profitable in any way.
Boston wins this match up 8/10 imo.

12-14-2011 , 11:01 PM

12-14-2011 , 11:42 PM
Yea yea I'm a moron never again

babaloos told ya!

Do you guys only ever bet ML?
12-15-2011 , 01:02 PM
Three games today so far:

NYR @ Stl +115

I feel rangers win this game at least 50% of the time so this looks like a profitable choice.

LA @ Clb Even
LA doesn't even have a head coach right now and a lot of off ice distractions while on this road trip has me thinking it will affect them. LA has lost 5 straight and is struggling this year.

Wsh @ Wpg -105
I went against Winnipeg at home earlier this week and i knew i would get burned for it. They are 5-0 at home in their last 5 and teams coming in say the atmosphere is electric in their arena, I really believe in fan support helping teams with home ice advantage and washington is struggling and has a losing record on the road.
12-15-2011 , 05:27 PM
Dallas at NY Islanders
Stars is taking a playoff hockey coming to this road trip, the following fact is compelling:

The Islanders are 1-3-2 in their last six home games and 2-1-4 against teams from the west. The Stars are 29-31 on the penalty kill (93.5%) over the last ten games.
The Islanders are 1-15 (6.7%) on the power play over their last three games.

Take Dallas

Los Angeles at Columbus
Both will soon have no head coach, both equally terrible & desperate hockey teams but Columbus has the edge at home.
LA are 2-6 in their last 8 road games.

Take Columbus

Calgary at Tampa Bay
TB are 1-7 in their last 8 overall.
CAL are 7-3 in their last 10 Thu. games.
The Lightning is without six-time All-Star Martin St. Louis.

Take Calgary

Detroit at Nashville
Detroit wheel of juggernaut is here. DET are 10-2 in their last 12 overall.

Take Detroit

Washington at Winnipeg
Winnipeg is tough at home with streak at 5-0.
Home team is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings.

Take Winnipeg

Very bad night for me last night, on a little bit of a skid. Tonight so far I got:

Dal @ NJ +120

Was debating taking the Under in the Tor @ Buf game what do others think of the games tonight.

YTD 12-10 - +2.45 units.
