NBA Picks for 19 March 2011

Denver at Miami
At ATL Bron went off 43 points with a 16-21 shooting FG. The whole team shoot 53% FG overall, but keep in mind, James had score 40% of the team's total points, also Miami out rebounded the Hawks 50-27. So these are excellent nos for them to build on when return home to face Denver and Birdman.

Denver:
Under is 7-2 in DEN last 9 overall.

Miami:
Under is 6-2 in MIA last 8 home games.
Over is 10-4 in MIA last 14 vs. Western Conference.
Over is 37-16-1 in MIA last 54 vs. NBA Northwest.

Head to Head:
Home team is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings.

Playing hoops is fun again, we can expect El Heats to come out dominates Denver and go off to a fast start. Either Bron or Wade will have a big game.

Play Miami -4 at the half.

Charlotte at San Antonio
Charlotte is a team ready to toss the tower, against the Spurs at home that is almost certain. Parker and Manu will drive in the lane at will, while Jefferson and Bonner will drop a few 3's from downtown. Since the trade the Cate had loss its physical size and offensive rhythm, they will heavily depend of Capt Jack. They may still have a good show effort from Boris Diaw and Livingston.

CHAR are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games.
CHAR are 3-8-2 ATS in the last 13 meetings.

Play Spurs -11.5

Cleveland at LA Clippers
BD, the former Clipper's convict is returning home. The real bad news for him is, he's still doing time with the Calveliar. The good news is, it's only about 14 games till the end of the season.

Blake will take a good look at Daniel Gison's hair, no not the style, the color !!, as it is turning white. After that loss at Portland and just one more bad season like this, Gison will have every reason to feel like a 50 years old pensioner playing hoops. Now we all know the real reason why Ricky Rubio held out on the Wolves and stay in Europe instead.

Philly@ Portland
These are two excellent defensive teams. In their last game against Cleveland, Portland played some of the best hi-lo set of plays, held Cleveland to a record 13 points first quarter, while philly held sac to a low 80 points total.

Take total under 188.5

any predictions on Philly Flyers vs Dallas Stars tonite?
03-19-2011 , 02:49 PM
it could go either way, because both need this game for a tight playoff race right now,
but i like Flyer. or play total under 5.5. gl

Toronto at Oklahoma City
Lottery bound raptors is at OKC less KD. With or without their top scorer, OKC had been preached the important of playing the D first, forcing turn over and convert into transition points to follow. Zone defense is about forcing opponents to take a hasty shots, out of their comfort spots, out of rhythm, turn these error into a low FG %. Ideally range .400 to .300 and so forth. But playing defense is easy said than done, cause it takes a mountain of efforts, focus and tape study. That's why Carmelo & his lazy ass try to shoot their way to victory. But hey, it's a not a bad thing for us capper, as long as it's a consistent pattern in some shape or form to predict, that's what we like.

If we examine last 6 games below, we can see OKC had kept foe's to average 85 points per game. Add these two guys in the middle, Nazr and Perkins will certain to disrupt scoring in the post and stop a few layups, and don't worry about them doing the scoring.

Indiana at New Jersey
The Nets is a dangerous team at home with or without D. Will. Lopez & Hamphries are solid in the glass, both combined a 20 points-20 rebounds workhorse. It's common to see this team come out slow at the start and their guards off the bench will rally late the 2nd half to narrow the margin and close it out.

The Pacers will look to their guards push the ball earlier, aggressive attack to build the margin and take the lead.

Play Ind -1.5 in the half.

Sacramento at Chicago
Boozer will return, the Bulls gets extra help with the boards. As usual we can expect a solid effort defensively by the Bulls, even though a playoff is secured, they will force a few miss shots & run half court play and control the tempo. The Kings will have an excellent match up effort in the post with Thompson, Dalembert and Cousins. Their guards will miss a few outside shots as the Bulls will give them no space and limited look at the basket.

Play total under 196.5
