15 of 41 for three is not bad. Unfortunately they were 17/42 inside the three point line. Cleveland really was selling out most of the series at contesting the three points from Curry and Thompson. it was a good strategy but Golden State should have done what they did in the first two games and gotten the ball to the other players more often on their cuts to the basket, etc. Why do you think Draymond Green went off so much in the first half of this game or guys like Livingston in the first game? The Warriors problem in this game was that they forced to much through Curry and Thompson, especially late.
Cleveland's offense didn't really win this game either. I was so upset with how they were playing in that 4th quarter. They went back to that stall game where they would often heave up a poor shot late in the shot clock. They are very lucky Golden State struggled equally to score down the stretch. Golden St scored their last points of that game at the 4:39 mark. The only points scored after that were the Irving three and the one free throw by James. Final quarter score was 18 to 13.
You have to definitely credit the Cav's defense somewhat but it was really a blowup on offense for Golden State.
