Just paying the juice past couple of days. Think I was the only one in the world on the Grizz and that worked out at least. Do people not realize how detrimental Monty Williams offense is to that Pels team? Some of their possessions are beyond ugly. Sad because Brow is a true joy to watch, probably my single favorite player.
God I love basketball. And betting on basketball! I'm a little late, but this is always fun...
Strong lean on Washington ML +115 3u
Without Bradley Beal I think they're strong enough on the interior between Nene and Gortat to roll NYK. Amare has looked decent but outside of he and Carmello, NYK is a wasteland. I'd please Washington here up to -5 if anything else looked appealing, but alas...ML it is.
Slight lean on Phoenix -6.5 (-105) 2u
I like Phoenix's back-court to crush the Lakers here. Jordan Hill has looked really good so far, but I think he and Kobe can't do enough to keep it close. Phoenix should be 3-0 but B2B's in Utah are always brutal @ 4,500 feet of elevation. I like Phoenix to essentially repeat their opening night performance and win by double digits in this one.
Slight lean on POR/CLE o202 2u
I'm not gonna touch this one because I think it's going to be close. If I had a gun to my head, I'd take Cleveland, but I think there's a good enough shot here that Portland wins outright. But we can always bet the points, and I think there's value here for sure!
Both teams are rested (and Portland at home is always pretty solid) both can absolutely play the up and down game and I think they will. I don't buy Portland's defense being good enough to slow down or stop Cleveland...They beat Russel Westbrook in a 5 on 1, Sacramento scored big on them, and the only reason I think Golden State didn't crush them was because they were on a B2B. And even then, the Splash Brothers scored 50 on 17-40 shooting. Also, I just don't think Cleveland is very good defensively yet, and I don't know if they ever will be this year. I think these are two high powered offenses and I'm looking for the Lillard/Matthews back court to put together a nice effort, while LeBron and Kevin Love get it done as well. I'd take the over all the way up to 210, personally.
i had a question. hopefully some math wizards out there or a basic estimate would be great. a friend of mine is confident that the lakers will have the worst record in the entire league and was suggesting 20-1 to 30-1 on it. I know this is ludicrous. I would imagine it would be the complete opposite and there would be a - in front of the bet: Lakers will end the season with the worst record in league. I understand they lost Randle and have not only lost but been blown out most game, aside from Clipper game they probably should of actually won SU. Preseason odds and obviously before Randles injury they were actually listed as 66-1 to win the championship! Also with 27 wins last year they were still only the 8th worst team in the league.
Any help with estimate or fair odds on bet of: Yes, Lakers will end the season with worst record in NBA.
