Denver is the deepest team in the league, which is important in preseason and especially important in fast pace preseason games where neither team wishes to wear out any of their starters. These teams put up a combined 237 the other night despite not even shooting that well.

I agree with what you said about the Celts just going to sleepwalk through the season and the Knicks should be hyped to play at home and open the season with a real team.

On the other hand... Amare has looked completely lost in this offense. He looked much more comfortable at the 5 when bigs wouldn't come out to guard him. He's just settling for jumpers every possession because he's having problems getting past the PF's.. clearly Garnett should also be able to stay in front of him. Melo has looked amazing and his shot is on, but even that is just sticking Amare in the corner watching.

I also hate Dantoni and this terrible offense trying to get Amare running out in front. Why don't they keep their 7'2" Chandler, 6"10 Amare and 6'8 Melo in to rebound. Most talented frontcourt in basketball and the Nets are killing them on the boards.

I went 3 units on the Knicks because they should win this game with their talent and being home, but after watching the two preseason games and how ugly it was.. idk..

Question for all you NBA knowledgeable people.

On 5D there is a prop Lakers win Pacific Div -145 and Clippers +145. However, on the same page Clippers O41.5 wins is at the same price as Lakers O40.5 wins. So obviously there is some disconnect and one of these lines is inneficient. Any of you NBA knowledgeable people have an idea which one?

Of course I guess the 900 pound gorilla in this equation is the Lakers team could or could not get a lot better between now and the end of the year, where the Clipper team is pretty set.

kobe and pierce injuries

Well, you know Kobe is gonna play, so I guess it is just a question of how effective he will be.

With Pierce not as clear. Remember, this is the guy that had to be carted off the court in a wheelchair in a game he stayed in. Very soccer-esque.

What does everyone think of opening day props. I like the u23.5 points for Stoudemire. Seems a little high to me considering the boston/kevin garnett defense and Tyson Chandler taking up the msg opening day spotlight on the frontcourt. From what I saw last year after getting melo, Amare had a tendency to defer in big games.

I see a lot of value in Clippers/Warriors over 208.5 tomorrow. Not only are Warriors games notoriously high-scoring and lacking in any resemblance of defense whatsoever, but this new Clippers offense should come out explosive and show case their weapons. I really don't see a defensive grind or a slow-paced game whatsoever
